Sure, i have two kids I sell baby clothes they dont wear, toys they dont use anymore. I sell my old maternity wear etc and I cleared out my garage of dvds, paintings, records etc. I sell anything that isn't damaged. I made the most amount of money on old records and comics.

I hve been an active member of eBay both as a buyer and a seller for a few years now. My earnings are not that high but then most of the things I sell are bits and pieces I no longer need. I have, in the past, sold a lot of books as I had no space for them and some of my books went for good money.

I had registered an account in ebay long time ago and I also tried to sell something from it. However, I can't sell anything from ebay. That means to say I don't earn anything there.
