Well, my 16th year old son plays high school baseball and I'm always present to cheer for him everytime he has games. I try my best to go to open houses and meet with his teachers to make sure that he keeps his good grades.

I make it a point to participate in Parents-Teacher meeting, which takes place periodically and it is quite interesting to interact with beautiful and wonderful and intelligent teachers. I not only get to enhance my knowledge but also come to know in details about my wards.

I am very much involved with my child's school activities. Earlier (before I started working) I would volunteer at my son's school. Even when I started working, I would keep in touch with the teachers through the school diary and also made it a point not to miss any parent teacher meeting or any of the school activities that my son was a part of. I would also give suggestions when I felt it could do something positive for the kids. Now that I have a 10 month old and am at home, I help out for the school by doing stuff from home. And go to school when there are meetings or competitions that I cannot miss.

I'm not involved in any association in the school of my son, coz there are no parents and teacher's assoc. we can only get into their rooms during card distribution. The school is not allowing the parents to talk with the teachers' if any problem we have to report it on the principals office. My son is new in this school and I feel that this school is so strict in everything unlike the previous school of my child very open for the parents and they include the parents to participate if there are programs or party held.

That is so sad.The school should allow parents to participate with some restrictions.

I am one of the committee members to my kids 'Parent and Teacher Society' at their school. Involved actively in the society's programs, periodical meeting and almanac. My role in that society obliged for student's learning methodology programs. So far I had arrange the tuition classes for every weekend at school for students to participate free of charge and teachers will be given tuition teaching allowances on monthly basis for MYR100 per month from Education Department. So part of my focus is to monitor and control tuition students achievement progress. I really love this kind of tasks, unpaid but my sincere participation and sacrifices towards student's academic future life.
