Don't you hate it when people talk during a movie at the theater?

I was at the movies today and this guy was talking throughout the whole thing. A girl told him to be quiet and he got really mad. So the guy and girl and their boyfriend and girlfriend pretty much had a fistfight in the lobby. Talk about drama! What do you do when someone won't be quiet in a theater? I usually tell an employee.

Yes! Even if a bunch of us are watching a movie at home.. i hate it! I like to really emmerse myself in the plot and it's almost like I'm in the movie! Then people talk and bring me back to reality. I don't like going back to reality lol

Yeah, and sometimes it's hard when it's one of my friends that won't stop talking! It's kind of awkward to shush a friend, but sometimes it has to be done.

I don't really get out to the movies much but, whenever my friend and I would hear someone behind us or in front of us talking during the flick, we would hurl gummi bears at them after we had just taken them out of our mouths. Nothing will shut an annoying talker up like wet gummi bears in their hair.

I hate that! It's so annoying. normally i will just shot them dagger looks. but then, i never got the guts to just tell them off. Another thing that i dont like is when the person sitting behind you keep knocking on the chair

Yeah, I ALWAYS sit in front of someone who will kick my chair. By the way, it keeps making me double-post, but only in my own discussions. Sorry everyone. :(

First I give the glare, if I am in the position to do so. Then I "shhh." Then I "SHHHHHHHHH!" Then I say "sht the f-ck up, please." Then I start throwing things.

I don't think I would have the courage, either. I think I would say something to someone that works there.

I feel like banging them on , if it gets real iritating , i remember once a man , just laughed so loudly throughout the movie , and wasted my whole fun , then there are couples who whisper all the time , coz they are so overwhelmed with themselves that they dont watch the movie themselves and dont let others do so also

Unfortunately, the only time you get your money back is if you choose to leave before the movie is over :(

Hi deeds its okay for me if they do that without causing inconvenience. But if it is beyond bearable limits I will try convey them gently to keep in their limits.

It doesn't bother me. If I didn't want to hear strangers talk while I'm watching a movie I wouldn't go to a theater to watch it. If the crowd is getting into the movie it's kind of fun.

This bugs the crap out of me! People go there to enjoy the movie, not listen to people talk. I usually do the "SShh" If they don't take a hint, then I inform an employee of the issue. I went to a theater one time in Kentucky and some people came in and started smoking! I reported it to an employee and they got kicked out.

Wow, that happened to me too when I used to work at a theater! The kid who was smoking pretended like he didn't know that he wasn't allowed to. I couldn't believe it.

I hate it when people talk during a movie. It alwas seems like they talk at an interesting part. If they want to talk they should go to a club not a movie theatre.

I saw The Exorcist in theatres when they did a re-release. I'd seen it before, but it had been awhile, and I'd never seen it on The Big Screen. Lo-and-Behold, there was a group of 12 year-old girls (I was 15 but waaaayyy beyond them) at the very front. Any time ANYTHING happened, they'd all scream like they were on a rollercoaster, then spend about 3 minutes giggling. It was infuriating. The only part during which I specifically remember, was a period of silence, followed by a loud telephone ring. Then tons of screams and giggles... ugh.
