Do you respond to pollution/ indiscriminate waste dumping?

Wastes - A photograph of poorly maintained waste pit. No proper disposal technique has been imposed and the garbage is truly a threat to the immediate surroundings.

There is one thing I hate about my country and that is the poorly maintained roads and the distressing sight of wastes all over the place. If you are walking along you tend to get stuck with a waste paper or a plastic cover or any other even filthier item on your sandals. The rains can worsen the whole situation. Then the whole area will be floating wastes. The lack of a proper disposal system, no proper self disposal adopted and the indiscrimnate discarding of wastes is the prime reason. The people dont need awareness lessons of the need for proper waste management. But they are content with their practices. The land, the water and even the air is not free of pollution. Result is communicable diseases. Then comes intensive measures of treatment and disease prevention with vaccines and other prophylactics. But hardly any response comes for the environment control and cleanliness of the milieu. The politicians dont care for the precautionary measures and the municipality is not fully equipped and has less manpower for starting necessary procedures for cleanliness of the state.Do you face any similar problems?
