Dirty Fingernails.

I only clean my fingernails when they are dirty, which isn't that often. I am not in a line of work that causes dirt or grim to get under my nails. In your cashier's case, there seems to be no reason why she had dirty nails. She just has bad hygiene.

I type and sometimes the files that I handle may be dirty but not my nails. I ensure that they are always clean. She is just outright nasty. My nails are dirty only when I am at home cleaning. My daughter examines mine on a regualr basis too.

I do keep my nails neat and clean but the frequency of cleaning and clearing them is much lesser than yours. I need to clear up my nails no more than once a week. I also work on giving them proper shape and also keep them perfect clean.

I don't get dirty nails that often....so I dont have to clean them that much...I do the dishes by hand at least 3 times a day...so they get clean that way....Dirty nails is disgusting...yuck...and it can't be very hygienic either.

My husband is a mechanic and his nails are always dirty as well as the rest of him. He works in so much grease and oil that his hands are dirty even if he washes them. The only time they look normal and clean is when he dosent work for a week. I try to clean mine everyday but sometimes I dont get to it. Dirty fingernails are gross!! I mean come on its not that hard to clean them or if you dont want to then cut them short.

Dear Jillhill, I used cut my finger nails every week. Therefore, I do not fear dirt accumulating on my finger nails. Further I used to wash my hand with toilet soap as often as I can. It is my regular practice.

YUCK!!! I myself would have said something to the manager or to the cahier. That's not a very good practice for the customers to have to see daily. Nasty. I clean mine daily as well. I don't work so mine tend to get long for a man. I also do a lot of work in the yard so dirt and grime collects easily. That's just gross. I hope it wasn't the grocery store this happened at. well i started a discussion that noone responded to lol asking if anyone knew a way of keeping fingernails clean as ive had to grow mine because im on a beauty course and have to have nice long nails. well anyway i always keep mine sort as possible because i just cant stand dirt getting in them it really is bothering me at the moment because im not used to having long nails and im getting makeup and all kinds stuck in them it really is disgusting and i hate having long nails im constantly washing my hands trying to keep them clean lol im becoming rather obsessive with it lol

Dirty fingernails really turn me off. I clean mine a couple of times a day. I usually clean them in the morning after my shower and at night when I come in from work.

Yeah I believe you was staring at them, I would be probably too.Specialy when she is working in place like that, were hyginic should be on the first place.But it looks like the person probably don't care anout it.

I hate dirty finger nails on people who should not have them. On a mecanic or someone who does manual labor all day but not on people who work in stores and offices and the like. I can not stand to have anything under my nails so I clean them at least once a day somethimes twice depending on what I am doing. We touch so many things in one day that other people have touched and it freaks me out to think about how dirty those other peoples hands are.

I clean mine all the time, it bothers me to see mine dirty. I was sitting here thinking about if I have ever encountered anyone with dirty nails like cashiers and waitresses I don't think I have. It would probably gross me out if I did but I wash my hands alot and I have a pretty good immune system lol. -Amber

My nails never seem to be dirty but thats because ive usually got my hands in the washing up bowl! lol ....... I cant help bt judge somone with dirty nails or men who have long finger nails creeps me out for some reason! ....... no excuse for bein dirty!
