I haven't made oatmeal scotchies in years. They were my father in-laws very favorite cookie. He passed away many years ago. I dont think I have made them since. He loved them so much he would eat the entire batch in a day. He was a great guy,I still miss him.

I hadn't made them in years either....so tonight I bring some over to my son's house..and he said "Mom you made my favorite cookies!" I said "THey are your favorite?" well come to find out they are....and he was just tickled to get them. Thanks for sharing...

Sugar cookies with a Hershey Kiss placed on top as
the cookie is still warm are great as well.

Hmmmmm. I love baking chocolate chip cake. The same as cookies
but the whole batter is placed on a cookie sheet like cake mix
then cut into large squares. Yummy.

I place them in the cookie jar while still verty warm. Not hot
but warm. This causes condensation to form and that keeps them
soft. Too hot and it is almost like rain inside the cookie jar.
Just warm to the touch works for me it seems.

Now this is a little strange but I like to bake oatmeal cookies and my favorite cookie to eat are oatmeal but not the ones I make. I like to bake oatmeal cookies from scratch for my nephew.But I like the oatmeal cookies from McDonalds.

At my local McDonald's they have three types of cookies, chocolate chip,sugar, and oatmeal.
