What is your Favorite Redwall book my Brian Jaques? Mine would have to be 'The Pearls of Lutra' being one of the first I've ever read, and was one of the most exciting I have read, with 'cliffhangers' on every ending of every chapter! Does anyone else here have a favorite Redwall book? If you do, please post! :)

I started reading 'Redwall' over 15 years ago (I feel old!). I started with 'Mattimeo', then read 'Redwall', Mossflower' and then the others as I found them and then as they were published. I've only read up to 'Triss' so far so I can't comment on the later books. I think my favourite is 'Mossflower' closely followed by 'Martin the Warrior'. I really like 'Mossflower' as it lays the foundations for the Redwall world which is why I favour it over 'Martin the Warrior' which is excellent and still makes me cry but I see it more of an independant story rather than part of Redwall itself. I wasn't too impressed by 'Triss' which is the reason why I have been lax in keeping up with the series but is something I hope to change this year, thought I think it's take quite a lot to knock 'Mossflower' from it's perch.

I started Redwall when I was in 5th grade and haven't stopped since. I have read and reread this series more times than I can count. Jaques is a masterful storyteller and doesn't ever give the reader a break from the action. My favorite books in the series are Mossflower, Mariel of Redwall, High Rhulain, Taggerung, Salamandestron, and The Bellmaker. All of these books changed the way I thought about reading and introduced me to the world of fantasy and science fiction which i so love today. Without the redwall series, my life would probably have a much different story (and a more productive one!!).

I have never read any of them, but I recently started getting the ones my mother does not have for her. I have gotten her 3 hardcovers from bookmooch.com in the last few weeks. I think mow she had 9 of them. The Pearls of Lutra is one she does not have yet. My mom really likes them. I have The Great Redwall Feast coming for her later this week. It is more geared towards children I guess. My mom wants to start reading them to my 7 year old.

Lol cool, the way my mother gives me books is that she works at a library, and any discards (like the ones missing the cover, or are battered up) She gives them to me! So I have every book except for the new released ones! :P Life is good!

My favorite book by Brian would have to be "Redwall". I haven't read all of them but this one was the most exiting. It feels as if I am in the story and sharing the feelings with the characters. I was obliviouse about what was going to happed when Matthias encountered the snake "Asmodeus". My heart was beating out of my chest when I was reading about when he was trying to steal the sword from the sleeping snake! It is a great book and I would recommened it to anyone who can't find a good advenure book to read. I was hooked on it!

Mine would have to be Lord Brocktree. My favorite part would have to be near the end when Brocktree challenges Ungatt Trunn to a duel. And wins.
