Unfair DIRTY TRICKS!

Politics has become way too unkind. What do you think of this:
Dear Abby:
My husband is a liar and a cheat. He has cheated on me
from the beginning, and, when I confront him, he denies
everything. What’s worse is that everyone knows that he cheats on me. It
is so humiliating. Also, since he lost his job six years ago; he hasn’t even
looked for a new one. All he does all day is smoke cigars, cruise
around and BS’s with his buddies while I have to work to pay the bills. Since our
daughter went away to college he doesn’t even pretend to like me and
hints that I may be a lesbian.
What should I do?
Signed: Clueless
Dear Clueless:
Grow up and dump him. Good grief, woman. You don’t need
him anymore!
You’re a United States Senator from New York running for
President of the United States . Act like one!
Do you agree that the above is going too far in making fun of a candidate for the highest office in the land? What's your opinion?

Although I agree this is very harsh, and I consistently support fairness in debate, and honesty ... one cannot separate a politicians's personally, unwise choices from the expectation of the kind of choices that he or she will make in office.
Whether it's just poor judgement, or personal behaviors (criminal or not) that lead the person to make such disastrous choices, it's fair to expect the same kind of choices once elected.
Hence, it's fair to point out prior disastrous, lingering, and pervasive choices. Heck, it's like kicking the tires when buying a new car ... ya' just gotta' do it to make sure your not getting a lemon!

Kinda like what happened to Gary Hart. He challenged reporters to find out about himself. They did! People did not like what was found out.
In Hillary's case, just about everything there is has already been published and it has not mattered.
I agree that if you run for public office you are fair game.

Wow, this is great, this is the first time that I have heard women say that they would have dumped him.
I think she kept him around for political reasons, I do not see how she can improve things or lead this country since she does not have the confidence that she could run for or become president without her lowlife husband

The circumstantial evidence (but not enough to convict) that both Clintons have committed felonies that bring prison time is overwhelming. Each knows about the other.
Neither of these people can afford to really anger the other. Therefore, Bill and Hillary are really tied to one another for life.
For badder or worse!

I don't like dirty tricks or mocking the office. Something like this sounds like something the Clintons would do. Even if She is the writer to Dear Abby she can't dump the guy because without his name she is just another lawyer running for office. Who is Hillary Rodham and what has she done to get elected to the US Senate?

They say all is fair in love and war.
Politics is war.
This is hillarious and I hope it is indicative of the roasting that the liberals are gong to receive.
Not that I am partisan or anything... well okay... maybe a teensy bit....:)
By the way, the signature was accurate in my opinion.

No, I don't. If you're a public figure, the chances are that people are going to write jokes, make fun of you and there will be parodies on TV.
Anyone remember the dancing OJs on Jay Leno? That was by far some of his best work, beside Ross the Intern.
I think it's funny, but if you don't want to be picked on or made fun of, don't let your dirty laundry get aired in public.
When is the last time you heard something about Sandra Bullock that was negative on TV? Some stars and famous people can keep their clothes buttoned up and not get into trouble and not be plastered all across the front of STAR or the National Enquirer magazine.

Well, this kind of humour is not to my taste. On the other hand politicians have to have a thick skin otherwise they would not be able to hang on. Besides Clueless might have had an ulterior motive that compelled her to stay in the relationship. Sometimes people marry and stay together because two great fortunes are joined, other times one or the other partner may see the relationship as a springboard for their own ambitions. I think Clueless had her own reasons to stay in the relationship.

Members of the VRWC speculate the 'ulterior motive' for Clueless' marriage to remain intact is that spouses can not testify against one another in a court of law. By staying together they each deprive prosecuters of the one witness who knows enough to put either in jail.

I think she stuck with him because I think over the years you grow attached and used to your partner and think that they would never do that.I just think Abby was being truthful and honest. She wrote to Dear Abby so she shouldnt get offended by what she tells her.I agree some peoples advice can be out of context but some people advice is just simple truths.Maybe she should make him get out and get a part-time job.Its her own fault for letting him stay at home and not work.I would have been really mad if my husband did that and for one thing she has money so its not like thats whats stopping her from leaving him.Sometimes marriages can be worked out if the other person is unfaithful but if they continue thier habits then its time to let go and move on.

People sink to that when intellegent arguments are not something they can turn too. Hilary didnt diserve what was given to her by her husband, but of course no one noticed that she was strong and stood by her husband and her marriage and worked through all that, of course if she did not leave him that makes her a lesbian. Thats what is wrong with families in America. They never see the big picture.
