The cheapest way is to also work on your runecrafting too. Then you can make your own runes to work on your maging with.

It depends on your mage lvl, and whether or not you like to use mage for combat or other stuff. My mage lvl is 58. I usually high alch yew longbows - it's great for mage training, and a really fast way to make some cash (especially if you get your own yews, spin your own bow strings and craft your own runes...). I also like to head down to shilo village and use the crumble undead spell on the undeads just west of the bank, right at the gate. You can stand outside the gate and mage them so you don't have to worry about bringing armor/food/pots with you. They don't drop anything though, so it's not very good if you're looking to make money. Or you could always just pick one of the teleport spells (like varrock or cammy) and go nuts with that.

i think that mage is a not cheap, you have too invest in it a lot of money if you want a high level so the quickest and cheapest way for getting high mage lvl is to do runescrafting!!!

You should train in the tears of guthix minigame. There is unlimited supply of runes you can use. Just cast the best spell that you can and you will get really high magic for free. You will also get some tokens that you can spend for mage robes. Happy Myloting!
