This was a shocking news to our clan. My cousin who is an alcoholic, womanizer, and a wayward man raped his own daughter! My niece, herself, told it to us. In fact, he lived with us for a few weeks to avoid his father. I found it hard to take care of her. She showed many unexplainable attitude. She is always afraid and took a bath almost every hour. Until we decided to seek the help of the authorities and professionals. Right now, she is married with children. And wish she continuously go on her life as normal as she can. Any idea how to take care a rape victim?

Morning izathewzia. It is really shocking news to hear. It is so embarrassing for the father to rape his own daughter. Doesn't he still have his own wife or doesn't his wife stop him from doing so? I feel so bad for your niece to be raped by her own father that makes her mentally and physically hurt. The only way for her to keep safe from her father is keep away from him without going back to see him unless her mother is also at home or it is better for her to go with her hubby to visit the family if she plans to.

She has a family now and his father is nowhere to found. Hiding in the mountains, i guess.

I think this is a case for professionals at least at the start, it makes me so angry when reading things like this and it seems to be happening a lot, and when you think of it we are probably not even hearing most of what is actually going on, it makes me think we humans are really less than animals, parents are supposed to care and protect their children.

It really angering to know that there are people who instead of protecting their children are the ones putting their lives in danger.

well, really sad, rape victim must be treated properly and normally, dont give her feeling that something worse happen to her. just convince her that was a bad dream and its over now. like if some one had disease and its cured. Take care

It is still best to seek professional help, like psychologist, social welfare authorities and best, file a case against the rapist. Send him to jail! Before we can take care of the rape victim, better if we will bring the rapist to jail first so that he will not have another victim.
