Can anyone here live without the internet? What would your life be like if there was no internet or computers? I would be so bored during the day and not meeting everyone that I have on here I would hardly have any friends...But I guess if there was none of it I wouldn't miss it at all and I would have different thing that would keep me busy....But if they just took it all away tomorrow I would die! LOL This is my exscape and relaxing time when I am on here....

Oh I'd be DEVASTATED if there's no internet. I mean, now I live in Finland while my family lives in Indonesia, so writing emails is still the cheapest means of communication. Plus I can call them using Skype (cheap). Plus my closest friends are around the world: Holland, USA, Germany, Indonesia...I'd go NUTS without being able to talk to them. And now I have so many blogger friends, too, so yes, I'd be SO bored without the internet he he he... But you're right...if there were no computer or internet in the first place, then we wouldn't miss it at all.

My internet went down for six weeks over the summer and the service provider refused to come out and fix it, even though they had installed it and we hadn't touched it since the install. I am not proud to admit that I went nuts...my best friend and I even stopped speaking for a few months! Who knew that we could be so dependant on this technology?

Speaking of reality, ofcoarse I can live without the internet.. but... err internet is a necessity right now! How could you find old friends without it?! There's Myspace and Friendster.. how about emailing? - - you couldn't be still having a snail mail by this time, right? Well, not everyone would be using that kind of option. And, how could I have my researches! I don't like to do such hassles manually! Argh, and I want to play online games, without the internet, it'd be crazy! LOL but then, I think I should say that I can live without the internet but I also think I'd go crazy without it LOL

I would wonder what to do with my life but if there were no internet, then no one else would have it, so we would have to go back to talking on the telephone and writing letters. If one does not like telephoning and whose hands hurt and writing becomes illegible after more than twenty minutes, it would mean having to get out the typewriter and typing the letter. It would also mean having to go and buy the stamps since with no internet, there would be no email. I also would have to look up words in the dictionary, go through my grammar and writing books instead of looking up on the online dictionary or reading all the articles. I would go crazy!!

I could live without it if I had to. I wouldn't like it but I could. I lived for 32 years before I got it so although it would be hard to give up, I could do it. As for going without it for a few days...8 days is my breaking point as I found out when we had ours shut down for repairs for 8 days. On day 8, a librarian almost got bodily harm for denying me internet access LOL I guess the difference is knowing it's gone forever and just being without it for a short while. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Before computers were invented I did other things in my spare time. Then when computers were used in my college, that is when I was 16, I did not get interested in computers. I used one when I began working in an office. I still didn't like computers. I went to university and my tutor told me I should search for information on the Internet when I was doing my a special study on children's picture books. Then when I began teaching my head teacher told me to get a computer and get confident at teaching the subject to my class. I did this and it took a while. I got the Internet in my home and soon became fascinated by it. I go traveling and don't miss the Internet but I could not be happy without it in my own home.
