I was reading a very interesting book last nite. and the guy asked are you bigger then your problems. When you have a problem does that problem take over you and your whole life. Do you complain about the problem, cry about it, tell anyone who will listen about this problem? Or, do you see this problem and say you can't beat me, I am bigger then you then right away focus not on the problem, finding a solution? So i ask, Are you bigger then your problems?

Good thinking. But I am different. I don't see a problem as a problem. i see them as challenges which I can learn from. So, its actually easier to start. And acting 'as-if' works very good. (I hope you read that too).

You'll have to dig real deep to get to the core so don't even try. ;)

I used to let my problems take over my life. But about 1 1/2 years ago, I made ahuge change in my life and I no longer let my problems control me. I think we just have to make that decision. We must learn to overcome things.

Depends on what kind of problems they are. If they are small issues then i tackle them as they arise. If its a bigger problem, then sometimes I need that time to cry about, complain and talk about it, even yell LOL Eventually I tackle it and find a solution or try to overcome it, even putting it in prayer.

hey maddysmommy. mistake number one that we all make, is complainging. i am done it myself so i am speaking from experince. if you look at it like this, the more you focus on something the bigger it gets. complaining is a sure to take something and make it like a big ol monster chasing you down the street. trust me, I have run my fair share of blocks running from it. you should always only focus on the good in every situations. i am creating a website that will teach you how to do so

Sometimes complaining makes the problem be known and then often solutions come from it - I don't mean complaining and then complaining again while not doing anything about it - usually when I complain about something its because i am not being heard the first time I've spoken about it, so i bring it up again. I am not one to dwell on things for long anyways and often find a solution to the problem quickly. Would be interested in reading about it in your website though :)

No, I am not bigger than my problems. If I were, they would not be problems. But, my God is. I just give them to him and forget about them. He is faithful to work it out. He said in his word, the battle is not mine, but his. We need to stop whining about our problems and start speaking the word of God to them.

that is a very powerful statement in the bible. very powerful. not to lean on your own understanding. yet i don't want to get into a bible debate only because I am an Isrealite and we have very different views.

I have heard that said before,"God helps those who help themselves," but I have never found that anywhere in the Bible. I have read the scripture that says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path."

Well..last year was truly one of those years in Hell...it was like a snowball effect and it was one thing after another after another...a lesser person I think might have had a complete breakdown..seriously...yet I seem to be one of those people who can actually remain very calm during stressful, chaotic times...and yes, I did tell my friends what was going on, and maybe ranted and raved...but my "cool" logically intellect also gave me the capacity to problem solve, find solutions, and get the ideas to overcome the problems I was facing... so yes, I guess I did most certainly have a "you won't beat me or get to me" attitude...and as a result I did come out the winner :)

that is because winners never quit honey. next time something comes up, try not complaining so much and focus on the outcome, watch the thing go away in no time!

I believe I am bigger than my problems. They can be overwhelming if you allow them to do that to you but let us face it - we will always have problems in life. However how you handle them makes the difference. I try to find solutions to them by myself or get help with them. I try not to complain - this only makes the situation looks worse than it really is and does not solve the problem.

yes girl. you ever get a nasty cold and the only thing you talk about is being sick. and the more you talk about being sick the worst you feel. have you ever had just a few bucks and all you thought about is not having enough money so all you ever get is not enough. the more you focus on something good or bad the bigger it becomes. so if you know to focus on the things you want and not the things you don't, do you know how rich you would be in mind, body, and soul.

Yes I am bigger than my problem. I know that my problem is there to make me wiser. No problem will make me down I would not allow problem to swallow me whole. I will solve the problem and I will focus more in finding the solution rather than feeling sorry. I will always strive to make the most out of life.
