Well over my almost a year in myLot I have seen discussions topics like this many times - people type long posts about wanting to leave here, and then come back in 2 days time! LOL! Well - I am not like that - I'm not into saying things I don't mean for the sake of making an extra measly $ here or there because lots of people respond to my post asking me not to leave. So please believe this is genuine.
So - I am leaving myLot! This past week I have been away on holiday and only returned yesterday. During that time I honestly didn't think of myLot once! I was too busy walking, exercising, getting fresh air and generally enjoying myself! So this taught me that maybe this place is honestly not important to me in the way it seems to be to many others here. When I came home I did try to come back here and make the effort, but I realised it had, bluntly, just lost it's appeal for me. I'm not attacking the admins or anything like that - it isn't a case of that - I'm just totally, utterly bored with the place, and I feel it's time to move on.
I work long hours - I certainly don't come here for the money - I just used to come here for the "fun" but now that "fun" seems to have disappeared for me. I honestly find coming here a bit boring, and I don't want to waste my life sitting in front of a PC after a day at work doing something that bores me........ I'd rather learn a new language, or take an Open University Masters' degree or something in my Winter evenings.
So of course I have friends here, and I know I have email addresses for many of them, so I hope we can keep in touch. I will still log in from time to time to check any PMs etc and maybe read a few discussions from friends I care about - but I can't be coming here every day anymore, - nor even every week. So - in farewell - goodbye, take care, good luck, and Happy MyLotting:-))

Hey Rosie i have been absent to! i pop in occasionally really to see how my friends are i've never has a pay out but that wasn't the reason for joining i guess i'm like you i'm a fun person and after a day at work i want to chill or go out.

Hi rosie,
I respect your decision to leave as you give fair reasoning. Once mylot loses it's appeal and fun for me I'm sure I too will make the same decision and move on. Please take care friend.

I wish you all the very best my dear friend and thank you for your friendship and great support over the year. I have been on Mylot for exactly a year too! I am currently as you may or may not know in Rhodes. I keep in touch with my dear friends if by Mylot because they mean a lot to me, and certainly not the money aspect! I will give you a big hug and please pass on a hug to Lily! Take care dear friend x

Dearest Gabs - there is no way you will lose me from your life - I value your friendship very much. Lily has left a little note for Gissi in his Guestbook:-)) She has asked him if we could have the Christmas email again, because I can't seem to find it - must have been lost/mislaid while I was on holiday. Oh - and btw - I am so happy to har that Simba came back safe.

I respect your decision rosie_123, we all need to look on "real" life and you did made a good decision after looking at it!;)
I believe most of us here are like you too, post not for the money but for the friendship and live interaction through discussions. There are times that I think of leaving too, but I guess it is not yet my time to decided for it. I still enjoy it, though I'm a bit frustrated also. Who knows?! Time will come, that most of us will leave these site and realize that it is TRAPPING us from the outside world!;)
Anyways, wish you the best thing in REAL life and hope to see you here drop by whenever you feel like you want to!;) Goodluck, don't forget to share us some of the happenings in your life from time to time!;)

WEll, that would be really sad. But I believe you that there will come a time that we go tired of doing something, and though it became a part of our regular routine, we would have to start moving on. WEll, good luck for you but any time that you feel like coming back again then you know that your friends are here waiting again to be with you. Thank you for being here.

I have PM'd you as I would love to have your private email...I gave you mine....I really do hate to see you go...but I do understand...maybe at one point many of us wish to move on to better things...I'm often missing in action for awhile as I too am involved with other things...so I'm not glued being here as much either...but I do still love to come here and see all my friends at least...I'm going to miss your up-dates on Lily...which is why I hope you'll give me your private email...

all the best and you will be missed but hey if your heart is not in it than you are right to make the decision. At the begining I spend lots of hours writhing only to realise I was loosing on my family time so now I only write when I can and not as much as before and sooner or later many of us will find our selfs making the same decision. Anyway enjoy your life.

With your rating at 3895 I completely understand. I've started to feel that Mylot has lost it's appeal also. After a while you realize that you've discussed just about everything and there really is very little to talk about. I use to do this all day but now it keeps being less and less. A lot of days I just come here to read the news and I'll comment on that and don't find anything else worth talking about. With winter coming I'll probably do more on Mylot because the winter is so bad here I wouldn't want to go out but I believe by next Spring I will be done with Mylot also. Farewell.

Yeah it's really hard to continue doing something that you don't like doing anymore. I really think mylot should be modify or reformat to have something new or more interactive with users. Doing the same thing again and again really puts the fire or our desires out. Hopefully just as you have said, you will come back here from time to time and we could still heard from you.

Lol, i love the way everyone seems to be 'wishing you luck' as if going back into the real world is going to be traumatic for you. I don't see why everyone gets so worked up about myLot. Its a place where you can come every now and then and have a chat about things that interest you with people you have and never will meet. its not a social networking site, its not a dating site, its not even a site where you can make credible money. It has to be looked at as merely an opportunity to talk to like minded people on subjects that you care about and it should never be considered a 'job' in which you have to keep on top of things etc.
