pls help how could i describe internet to my blind friend?

please help me i dont have any idea on how to describe internet to my blind friend...he is very willing to know about internet...and when i describe it to him he only say its not clear...he always say that its like seeing dark area.....when i told him about something do couldn't catch up
how could i describe it to him?pls help me

Gee thats a hard one, I guess it depends if they have be blind all their life, if they know what a screen is, I guess you could say that you have a screen with a keyboard and let them feel what it is then say that everyone on the net has these and just describe how you have the addresses of people and webpages and tell them what you can type to find and all the wonderful things you can do on the net...good luck

There are three major part to tell them; and must always compare walking stick does help in their life.
1. the tools and equipment, as their walking stick.
2. the networking provider, the touch sense that they had experience daily, &
3. the end user, as the blind person.
Life comparison between things and the happenings are the right things for them to have, just like they learn about 'braille' system., the touch sense reciprocates the knowledge.
