Tell me, do you look at life seriously? Always feel like you carry the whole world's burden, that the whole world would make you want to crawl? Is it hard to put out a decent smile, even you're in the midst of troubles? Many people would think that others who are funny lives a happpy life, but it is infact contrary to what they see. Others tend to hide behind those funny jokes and cheering smiles, to atleast give their best to maintain the positive atmosphere. What do you feel about them, do you think they are doing the right thing? I do have troubles that I worry at times, but I prefer to solve just by myself. Most of the times, I try to face it with all smiles and simply laugh at it. It does wonders, but not all the time. I even crack some jokes, sarcastic and BOLDER at times. Then someone would counter it, then that's the time where I realize the BEEGEES song "I started a Joke" and felt that the joke was on me. It only makes me feel more depressed, as it's hard to keep a straight face infront of a crowd!;) There I realized the title, unfortunate things sometimes gets back to us much worse than we never expected it would be..

I think it's the way we handle things when pressures come to our lives. We react differently to life's situations. There are those who do not take life as serious as that when problems arise, 'though it seems that they are heavy loaded. These are the kind of people who knows how to cope up whatever 'storms' that come their way. Either they have positive outlook in life or they are leaning on 'someone' they believe can uplift them from 'further drowning'. This makes the difference between those who easily give up and 'surrender' to their shortcomings and those who persistently fight against their 'personal battles' with high hopes of 'better tomorrows.' My personal experiences taught me great lessons. I have been through the most devastating phase in my life's struggles but I managed to maintain my posture and mental state. Otherwise, I could have been rehabilitated. Thanks to my loved ones and some friends and to my greatest source of strength, my Lord and my God, who showed me the 'bright sunshine' that after all, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

You are right, it's how we deal with it that makes us different from those who somehow lost their LIFE along the way. I always believe that there's a solution for every problem we have in life, it is up to us on how to manage it and endure. Our life's a journey, with only two paths to choose from. I believe it is better to follow the light, than be lost in the never-ending tunnel of darkness. There is hope though, since it is never too late to change our directions!;)

Though I hear it once in a while, I'm not that much aware of that 'dating daan' or 'tamang daan.' I guess I still have strong beliefs on what I yearn to,I prefer mine of my OWN and not of what these 'beliefs' influences me to!;)

You did mention about two paths. Jokingly aside, I was thinking of the two contrasting faiths or religion that I watch sometimes on local TV. You are familiar with these two - THE OLD PATH and THE RIGHT PATH (on our own version - ANG DATING DAAN and ANG TAMANG DAAN...Which is really is the CORRECT PATH? Which way will you trod? (Well, you can smile now...)

life is really full of unexpected turns..and yes i believe that the most unexpected ones are the hardest to solve. just like you raijin, i face my problems with smiles and jokes. more often than not, problems overpower me. i am emotionally not capable of handling things on my own but i still prefer it that way. maybe it's my independence that taught me to stand still to every decisions i make in my life. i just hope i'll be able to face every storms that will still come my way..

Thanks for dropping by abi, we all have our "invidual battles" in life. I guess there's nothing more I can share with you, I just wish you do have more strenght in facing them. Try to deal with them one at a time, always go out and think of those happy things this world has to offer!;)

Hi raijin. We all have our own set of problems in life. Others face it head on, others run away from it as if it will just as fast go away. However bad it may seem, I think it is best to be true to yourself. Why do you need to hide behind funny jokes? Everyone experiences problems. You don't have to make everything seem funny and always happy go lucky. I think the more you hide it through more smiles and laughters the more intense you will feel about your problem. I hope you will be able to know and be aware that there is a problem and you need to do something about it. And when you know that there's a solution that is where you can smile and laugh the best! And often than not- there is always a solution to every problem! Hang in there, friend!~

Thank you so much sophylline, I just like to clear things that it is not ME who I refer to in my post but the people in general!;) Sometimes, we need to hide things to keep the environment in a positive atmosphere and to avoid being branded as 'kill joy.'=) I believe that there is a proper time for it to be solved, dealt with and taken care of. For sure, you don't want people (friends, family) to feel pity for you, whern you know that such problems can be solved just by yourself. This is what I'm trying to talk about, there are problems that are too personal for us and that it is only us who has the power to solve it and end all our miseries.. Thank you for the kind words, really appreciate it as always!;)

Okay, I stand corrected.(: Well, I am glad it is not you that you were referring to by this post, that's good to know! Yeah, I understand what you mean by having the atmosphere positive and avoid that dreaded way of being branded as kill joy. I guess it all boils down to our culture of "pakikisama". Yes, I believe that every problem has a proper time to solve and I understand and respect your belief that you want such particular problem to be solve and deal with only by yourself. And you are welcome, anytime. Thanks also for the appreciation.

Some of my closest friends tells me I am serious with life. Although most of the time I am not aware of this. Just like you my friend, I often make my self and others laugh. I love making my friends happy when they are with me, those I personally encounter and relate with. They can always share a smile with me because I love to give punchlines to start a laugh. I know that happiness comes from within. That even though I know I am shaken by the problems surrounding me, even can't imagine how I can get through, but I thank God how grateful I am to have survived and still doing good. Trials this life brings makes me a better person and gives me the opportunity to be closer to God, that I thank God for the most! Self pity often happens when we forget to pray. That is why when I am alone, I still try to pray to stop me from crying. I may not know what you are going thru but I think what I am going thru is with a purpose. To cheer those who are more sadder than me. I know someone keeps asking me how sad I am, I just smile, she was able to relate that like her I am in trouble, because we both love to laugh and give jokes. We both laugh together so much harder each time we bump with each other. When trouble comes, the bible said, we only need to trust God and stay faithful. He will deliver us from evil, and nothing can harm the believers, that I strongly believe in.

I have this theory that everyone takes life seriously, the only difference is others strategically take it "seriously" while others learn to accept the comic side of life... or perhaps be sarcastic and satiric about life :P Personally, i take life seriously, it's just that i am not the type who would flaunt around that I am taking life seriously. My friends describe as someone filled with indefinite energy, i tend to be bubbly and all... but i knows, despite my bubbliness, especially when I am in my serious mode, my friends would instantly feel that I am carrying an indefinite weight on my shoulders. The fact that they are my friends, i usually park the weight while mingling and sharing with them the things that bother me. :) People have a tendency to mask the things that bother them... things they consider as life issues... they don't want to be transparent with how they feel, thus, they would have default HAPPY facial expression. I don't think there's wrong with what they are doing... what's wrong is the fact that they seem not to recognize that what they are masking are issues already. They still continue with the smile, yet, ended with unresolved issues. You started a joke... and you ended up crying... It's ok to end up crying... life as we all know... is a cycle... what goes around comes around... if you ended up crying, you know then that you will begin laughing. :)

I have observed that some of us (not all), end up in situations where problem would bury us instead of making us better person. I know some of them, their lives wasted because they choose to escape with their worries instead of facing it. I guess most of us are still lucky, that we keep our minds in a positive state. With these, we learn hoe wonderful it is to still live and be with our beloved.
