I just say, "Please take me off your lists." And then I hang up. I've heard of some people who say, "Hold on." and hand the phone to their 2 year old! lol

my fave response is when a telemarketer calls me, I say sorry can you speak a bit louder as I am partially deaf, it's funny when they keep on trying to sell something by shouting.

I am actually pretty creative, I like to harass them. I either do one of two things. 1.) Find out what their product is and tell them that I have 10 products that make theirs inferior. 2.) I talk to dirty to them in hopes they will get fired and Ha-BeeB from India will give john from ohio his job back.

we dont get them any more because we changed our phone to a private number because they where that bad but when i answered i kept them on for as long as possible like by saying someones at the door can you hold on for a miniute and leave them for 10 miniutes so it costs them more.hehe

I tell them that I'm not interested and then I hang up before they can say anything else. There's no chance for them to make a sale with me so it's better for them to move on to someone else instead of wasting their time with me. And it's pointless for me to waste more of my time with them just because I'm annoyed that they called.

Well it depends, if I have time to do some Time pass I do listen to them chat with them asking about some products, and see if something interest me. If I do not have time, I just plainly tell them, "I am busy can not talk to you!"... mostly the later.. but well do feel bad coz they are doing their job and I am rude to them...

I say " I am too busy running a daycare to talk to you! I am not interested at this time but I wish you the best of luck and hope you have a great day." Then I usually hang up.

I go ahead and take the call when I am in a good mood..but once the conversation gets going, I act as though I have like 5 other personalities in me..one minute I am jamaican, the next, from england..I mess with them real bad..they think I am crazy or going crazy and don't call back anymore...

9 times out of 10 "not interested". However, I WILL listen to their spiel. But as I said most of the time I am not interested, but I am polite. I realize they are just trying to earn a living...but why do they always call during the dinner hour?? LOL

these calls are not always annoying... why are people afraid of even attending these calls, if you dont want what they are selling or talking about you can always hang up and ask them to not to call back again and they obviously wont cuz they dont want to waste their time.... the only thing i noticed is people are stupid enough that they think if they are going to attend these calls they are going to be fooled by the telemarketer... BE SMART, you should atleast have guts to talk to anyone, and if its something good u should go for it... but people are usually not confident upon theirselves and they think once they pick up the phone they are going to be fooled.

Here is one of the things I do. I'll start by answering the first questions they ask then I start to ask them questions .How long have they worked for their company, where they live, how's the weather, how much do they make. give it a try loads of fun
