I know that only God the Father knows the exact time of the return of the Lord Jesus. However I'm hearing more & more messages(sermons etc) about the soon return of the Lord. Is it really true that the Lord's return is very close?

I feel it is closer to happen, but we will never know. Only God knows when she will come to Earth, maybe it will be tomorrow or the next day. Or maybe next year. I don't know if i am prepared but i hope that the end of the world is not near. Only God knows.

Hi lena, It does seem that the world is getting more and more dangerous to live in. Things seem to be getting worse and I see a lot of what the Lord predicted to happen happening now. We have to remember that God's time is not our time. The time God has set for His return will be the perfect time. The Bible says that He will come like a theif in the night. All eyes will see Him and recognize Him to be the Christ. What an awesome Day that will be for all believers! Praise God! Until that Day comes, we must remain faithful and obedient to the Lord. We should never tire of doing good and being kind as the Lord commanded us. God bless you!

I have no idea how close it is. But, to judge from the things that are happening in this world, it surely couldn't be too far off. America has gotten to the point where they are doing pretty much whatever they want to do. God is not the least bit please with us.

The world may seem really bad, but that is because the media mostly reports about bad things going on, hardly ever the good things. Every single sermon I've listened to had something to do with Jesus returning, the "lost" people going to hell, a sermon all about Satan, or preaching about what Paul says. Out of all the Christian denomination churches I've been to every Sunday, the messages were the same. I believe this is a way to strike fear into people in the congregation and to convert them. Although the book of Revelations tell of bad things happening, preachers use current events to play up on the fear. Personally, I believe all these talks of Jesus coming back, ect. are simply a bit of mass hysteria. They never EVER teach about what Jesus says, only Paul. This religion should be named after Paul, not Jesus.

Paul was an Apostle. He was not the Son of the living God. Jesus was and is. God bless.

Paul was not an apostle of Jesus. There were only 12 apostles. Paul was not even alive during the time of Jesus, so he never was one, even if he claimed to have been. Anyone can say things and other people will believe it without question. As for why I think the discussion is creepy, it is creepy because I see no intellegent discussion here. Just a whole bunch of "yelling" and "preaching". Everyone is saying stuff that many people would be locked up in a mental institution for. Didn't you hear about that televangelist who beat his wife and tried to strangle her, then four weeks later in his trial, blamed satan for it? That man is obviously crazy, and I see that same craziness in this discussion.
