Were the games you played when you were young, the same games

your kids play today? The games we used to play were no longer being played by my kids. theses days. They were able to make up their games. Sad to say most games are not really the social games, but computer games wherein there is only one player, kinda anti social. What do you think? Your thought are highly appreciated.

When we were young, we played marbles, jumping jacks, and skipping ropes. They do not play that any more. But the boys played soccer, and baseball, and hockey, and they still do those games. I do not know about kid games now, but the teenagers and adults are into computer games like Everquest, Final Fantasy, and Doom, plus those historical games. I do not know if computer games are anti-social, but I guess with what is going on in the world, some people might prefer to be alone.

Most kids these days do not play the games we used to play. They are more inclined to be in the company of computers for online games and the younger ones are holding on to their gameboys most of the time. If they do not have these stuff, all they do is watch the Cartoon Network on TV day in and day out. As a parent I do not approve of these activities. Children need social interaction with kids their own age and they also need exercise so they should get to play outside the house preferably in the playground. They should also be encouraged to climb trees and not those plastic little tykes stuff found in McDonald's. Fresh air and physical activities are more beneficial to children.

I know what you mean! I miss the creativity that kids had when I was growing up. My son wants to do nothing but sit around & watch tv & play video games all day! It drives me crazy!

My kids are all adults now but from what I've seen kids today don't play the games we did when we were young. I've never seen a little girl playing hop scotch, jumping rope, roller skating and seldom see them riding bikes. Maybe my childhood was too long ago and all of those things are just gone now but I've yet to see it.
