I really want a pomeranian

I really wish I had a cute lil pom. They're my favorite dog breed. My current boyfriend just does not like small dogs. We don't live together yet but already he has told me that I can not have one. Never know what the future holds though I suppose. We'll most likely get something larger since he doesn't like little dogs. But I always keep thinking that someday I'll have the Pom that I want. I just think they are so cute. Their little ears are so tiny. Their eyes are so big. Their frame is small and their facial features are very fox or wolf like. I'm not a little girl, I do realize dogs are expensive and a huge responsibility. Requiring tons of training, attention, time, money, and love. I've already made up my mind that if something were to happen and I no longer be with my boyfriend that I would rush out and buy a Pomeranian :) Some day I'll have my little baby :) Maybe not til I'm like 80 years old, but I will have one someday hehe. Just gotta out live current boyfriend lol! XD Until then I'll just enjoy looking at everyone else's pictures and stories about their poms :) Go poms :) Poms rule!

its a sad thing when a man says he loves you , BUT he won't or demands that you cant have what you want in live .. i am sorry but that wrong My hubby right off the bat didn't say a thing about me rescuing animals .. from large to small to tiny breads. he just wants me happy. sugestion. if you realy want on he will get over it or hes not worth keeping, lol go to the nearest pound in your area and look at the dogs. because you can find almost any kind of bread there. I have a 13 year old Pom who use to belong to my twin sister and she could not keep her any more because of where she lives .. i have 10 acers so i have alot of animals . Sarah is so cute she joins right in with the pack. and poms make wonderful little compantions good luck

:) She sounds like she has a pretty good life now, all that land, and plenty of play mates to get along with :) That's a great story! :) My boyfriend can be kinda like oscar the grouch sometimes lol. Things would blow over eventually and settle back down, but it's not worth all the drama :). He has no problem letting me get a dog once we have some land and whatever, just said that he doesn't like little dogs and doesn't want to fight over it. He said if we can't agree on a dog breed then we just won't get a dog period. I happen to be pretty easy going and just a general animal lover. I grew up from about the age of 7-18 with two black labs and a beagle. I also admire huskies, collies, and boxers to name a few "larger breeds" :P So it's easier for me to just compromise for now :) Heh, we had an elderly man come into our store tonight and he was talking about how he bought himself a corvette and his wife a little dog (to keep her from getting mad about the sports car) XD So i can always still hope anyways. He said he never thought he would have liked the darn little thing but how smart it was and so on, didn't say what type it was just that it was about 11 lbs and knew all kinds of tricks. XD So who knows :) maybe my bf will soften up over time :)

Sonia - Orchid - Its all over my garden. Is it so common? I have seen it bloomed all the time.
I have pomeranian at home. I call him Tikku. I agree with the fact that they are cute and cuddly. They do not cost alot but feeding them can be costly. but it is worth having such a dog. My pom is the most aggressive of the dogs i own, something not common in his breed. But he is affectionate to my family.I love pomeranians. Go get one!

Guys tend to prefer bigger dogs over cute little lap dogs! Maybe when you move in together he would be willing to compromise and you could have one of each! Don't worry about the difference in size, because I have seen households where the little dog is the boss and the big dog is afraid of it! They have those sharp little teeth, you know, and generally think they are big dogs in little dog bodies.

TouTou - A lion in disguise
Hi even though my pom.is rather small, shes a big dog inside with a big bark in her, haha.Shes our gaurd dog, when she knows someone outside she does a "booking"noise to tell us,or if a stranger walks on the road,my daughter getting up,she tells me.When shes in my van and the mans pumping gas,she sits on my daughter in her car seat and growls at him through the window, like shes protecting her.hahaha.A big lion hid inside that looks like a puff ball, hehehe.Their very good little gaurd dogs, protective, loving, funny and caring. They become like a baby. My husband always thought tiny dogs weren't even real dogs, and hated them...till he met my 3 poms. Not only did he fall in love with them, now I have a hard time keeping him from spoiling them! I think you gotta consider all the $$$ and time that goes into dog ownership, but most of all, I think you need to think about this man that supposedly loves you "forbidding" you to get your choice of dog. Move on and find a real dog lover, or get your dog and see if he really loves you, or if he is just playin! After all, if he wanted to do something that is benign, that is, not harmful or dangerous, would you "forbid" him from doing it? If he drops you because of a dog....he is the dog! :)
