Yesterday, I had my operation on my left eye for cataract removal, I was a bit scared as my vision was very fuzzy and blurred after, and my eye felt irritated, so I removed the eye shield and of course my eye was very dilated, and I just had surgery. Don't know what I was thinking, Anyhow this morning my vision has returned and it is wonderful. so now I have 20/20 vision in both eyes, and Yaaaa no more glasses, at least I don't think so, I will be going back to the surgeon this morning just to make sure every thing is fine, but it sure feels good. I hope every one is having a great day as well.

WOw! That is so wonderful. I am so happy that after those storms, now you see rainbows. I thinks the initial feeling that you had after the operation was just normal. At least, the ending is so amazing. You're back to 20/20 vision and that is the good news. I am sure everyone who has eye problems loves to have the same experience as yours. Now, I bet you can drive well with your good eyes huh! Congratulations!

So nice to see again! - brown eyes
I think it's awesome that you got the surgery. I've been trying to talk my mother into it for years. She's 82 and would rather be almost blind than go through the surgery. I know people who have had it and couldn't believe they didn't need glasses any more after so many years of wearing them. If it ever happened to me I would get it immediately. Good luck to you and enjoy your new sight!

GLad to hear - read :) - such good news. My aunt and uncle also had that procedure done and both of them feel quite happy that they did it. I worked maybe a bit better with my uncle he says he can see clearly like he hasn't seen for years. My aunt also says she sees better than before the operation but she still will need to wear glasses for some things. IN any case both of them are extremely happy with the results too :)

That's awesome Robin! I'm so glad to hear about that! You're very lucky to have such perfect vision after the surgery though. Not many people get that good afterwards. You're one of the few that are blessed! Awesome!

AWESOME. I envy you so much. I have cataracts on both eyes but one is to the side and doesn't bother me. The other is right in the middle and it is like looking through heavy plastic all of the time. I had to drive 8 miles into town today and I have so much trouble seeing out of it that I get frightened driving. It also makes me feel like I am just not with it and kinda in my own little world sometimes. I envy you so much because I have no health insurance and can't even begin to come up with the $3000 to $4000 that it would cost to have it removed. God bless you and enjoy the sunshine.

Congrats! you are lucky to have got a reversible cause of loss of vision. Cataract is the commonest. But not everyone has the fate to get their vision 100% like you. Gods grace that you didnt have any complications. So go out and see all the action.

My mom had the surgery in only one eye, and she said it made a terrific difference. She still has to wear glasses, but it had gotten so bad in the one eye that her glasses weren't even helping her. Now she sees much better.

Oh, and by the way, glad to hear you're happy with the results and can see so much better. I'd love to have some sort of surgery, like lasik, and stop wearing these glasses!

I will not be unhappy to get rid of my glasses as I have worn glasses since I was 5, my vision is getting better day by day and in about 6 weeks time it will be as good as it is ever going to be, I can read what I am typing right now and only if I try to do a lot of reading then my eyes get tired, it will pass, and I am ever so grateful. thanks to you and every one for your posts

Glad to hear all is well with your eyesight. I would love to have 20/20 again. I have worn glasses or contacts for the last 40 plus years. I still can't get over how good you look in your picture. You look like you are having a great day! Cheers.

That is wonderful Robin!! My mother in law had that done and she said that she can now see things that she has never seen before, like a stain in her carpet LOL. I could not even notice the stain but she sure did and I have 20/20 vision. Great news though. I am having a good day today as well my grandson is coming over and we are going to go to the park and shopping for early Christmas Presents. His mom is now back home from over seas and she said she will not reenlist and found a job in just 1 day! I am so glad that she made that chose. She was over there for 2 years and missed alot of my grandsons achievments. All but one, potty training. Good luck to her LOL. but nice to hear from you and have a great time with your new eyes hugs

Wow, grats on getting 20/20 back Robin. Personally I'm at 20/10 or 6/3(metric). I hope to keep it up for as long as I can. It's pretty good too since I can read much smaller print font, especially on legalese or "sucker punch" disclaimers.
