I am a member of this parenting board and so far, it is the best one I have ever come across. The problem is, they won't allow anyone to advertise their own message boards. Another issue I disagree with is the fact that in order to become a member of the staff there, you must not be a staff member on another board. I don't understand why they have an issue with these things. They have several hundred members and the board has really nice graphics, loads of topics and lots of goodies on the board (a radio, arcade, chatroom etc.), lots of templates to choose from. Are they afraid of competition? They shouldn't be. I doubt any board can compete. They worked really hard on the board to make it great. Who would want to leave it to go anywhere else? Makes me wonder.

I am a co-leader on Ivillage and have not had any problems there, but then,I only help in the toilet teaching and potty training boards,so,I don't realy have problems such as you. Some I would think do not want people being a leader on two boards as they figure you will not spend enough time on theirs.

You may be right. I just couldn't believe it. I used to run my own message board and I would never tell someone they couldn't Mod at another forum.

At Ivillage, they let you lead as many boards as you can handle,I only do the one,but watch the other to see if I can help there as well, but some people I know there are leaders of 4 or 5 boards.
