Rep Pete Stark is the latest of the Loony Left to issue an outragious statemet. Under the protection of his office he uses his power to make a statement that attacks the President and our Troops. He can not be held accountable except by the House of Representives, because of the Debate Clause in the US Constitution. His statement is:
" You don't have money to fund the war or children, but you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we could get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement."
When you look at other comments by other Congressmen and Senators it make one wonder if they have a desire to undermine the US Troops and the Country:
Congress Murtha - Calling US Marines Cold Blooded Killers of Women and Children (Not a single Marine has been charged with Murder and almost all have been cleared of all charges)
Senator Kerry - Accusing the US Troops of terrorizing Iraq women and children in the middle of the night. He also told students that they should study hard or they will end up in the military - the implication is that the military is full of dumb poor people who have no other option. The reality is the Military is better educated and better trained that the average American Citizen.
Senator Durbin - Compaired our soldiers to the Nazis, Pol Pot, and the Russian Goulogs. (US military discovered the abuses and had some releived of duty and restricted to base(House Arrest before the pressmade it a big story. The military reported it to the media but ehy waited until sweeps week to bresak the story)
Senator Reid - Declairing defeat and saying the US Military failed.
Are these the people we want running our country who will say anything to maintain their power. People who are more concerned with them self than they are with the safety of this country.

The "Looney Left" and the "Radical Right" - there's no shortage of either. Some statements don't even dignify a response; you know Senator Kerry wasn't implying members of the military are stupid, it was a bad joke gone worse. Get over it! I understand many of the Democrats denounce the statements made by Rep. Stark but he sure did make a valid point. We spend the total amount needed to fund the SCHIPs program every couple of weeks in Iraq. And, it isn't a criticism against out troops to say this is and has been a failed policy in Iraq and some of us don't want to lose any more of our treasured young people in this way.

I am sorry but I can not get over these people who think they can say anything they want and be protected by the the US Constitution. So Senator Kerry made a bad joke about the education of our troops. What about the comment about our troops being terriorist and terrorizing women and children in the middle of the night. This is a standard police tactic used in the Us all the time when you are looking for criminals. The problem is that every time they make comments like this it emboldens the enemy. When President Bush announced the surge Opposition leader Al Sadar (and his army)fled to Iran. President Bush singled him out in hsi speach. Weeks later Senator Reid announced that we were losing the surge (which was not in full implementation yet) and that we lost the war. Al Sadar returned to Iraq to take charge of his army.
The media has decided, just like Viet Nam, that we are to lose the war and they will report the news that way. When was the last time you heard of a US military success and when have you heard about the number of people killed each day or week. A friend of mine has served five tours in Iraq and Afganastand. When he was questioned by the press most just wanted to know what went wrong. One reported even told him that his only job was to report when the troops "screwed up". When the media reports only the failures it serves to demorlize our troops and embolden the enemy. Can you name any US successes past the inital invasition?

It was recently reported that we spend three times as much to collect and enforce income tax in this country every year that what it is costing to fight in Iraq for a year.
By the way, SCHIPS was vetoed and sustained...:)

Now that's interesting Annie. When you wish to counter a statement like this, using the first statement in your response is just fine. But whenever someone brings it up in your discussions its not as valid. -_-
There are plenty of people who don't want the killing to drag on, please do not diminish the amount of people who think so. Do not diminish their humanity either, that's just low.
