Do You Watch Movies as Soon as You Get Them?

I buy a fair amount of movies in the run of a year, but my habit when it comes to watching them seems odd to some people. I will accumulate seven or eight movies and sometimes keep them for several months before I decide to watch them. Maybe it is because it builds the anticipation in my mind. I often do the same with books. When you buy a new movie do you rush to watch it or leave it until the mood strikes you?

I watch movies right away most time, all depending on if I've seen them before. I used to work at a radio station and I'd get free movies from there all the time and sometimes I'd accumulate so many that I wouldn't have any time to catch up and I'd forget about them. I just watched a movie the other day that I'd gotten from the station over a year ago. I had forgotten I had it.
The other day I got 8 new movies (1 is still on the way) and so far I've only watched one. But i plan on watching more this weekend in between writing my midterm. Sometimes I need a break!
Sometimes I'll just watch the extra features of a movie right away if I've seen the movie already. Like, I got transformers and I really want to watch the extras before watching it. Especially cause it's such a long movie and I do have midterms!
I love movies though. I get them so often too. and I always end up buying in bulk (between 3 and 10 at a time usually!)

I find it easier to buy two or more movies at a time, raychill. I am waiting for 2 now that I ordered-while I have a stack that have not watched in my living room.

Usually when I go out and buy a movie it is something that I have been waiting to watch to begin with. Since I don't get a chance to see many movies in the theaters these days, by the time it comes out, I about mad with anticipation in wanting to see it, so once I get in the door with my movie, I plop myself down in front of the tv and watch it.

I like to buy new movie or books but I dont normally rush to watch or read them. Sometimes, I will just keep it and when I really have nothing to do, then I will watch or read. Most of the time, I wont have the opportunity to watch or read because I have so many things to do at home. In most cases, I will totally forgotten about what I have bought.lol

Maybe my habit is more normal than I thought, ellie. Most of the people I know who buy movies tell me that they immediately watch them. But, I do know a few people who watch movies nonstop.

Hello!
I'm a movie freak, I love watching movies and when sometimes I would buy 5-10 dvds in one visit to the dvd store then watch all of them straight away when I get home. There are times that I would just spend my day watching all the dvds and there are times also that I would only watch them when the mood strikes me. I do the same with books that I bought too. I bought some books last year and I only started reading them last month...LOL!!

Usually when i buy movie or rent them i watch them later that night. SOmetimes i buy alot of bargain bin movies and wait for the right time to watch those.

You really can get some good buys from the bargain bins, marabdl. I think that I would watch them sooner if I only bought one at a time.

I try to, but sometimes I cannot. Most of the films I have gotten are definitely worth watching the minute I buy them.

I buy very few movies, so when I do, it's a real treat for me, so I usually have to drop everything and run right home and watch it. With books, I'm a little more like you because I have to really be in the mood to sit down and read. Movies provide more instant gratification.

I usually rush to watch it if we buy a movie. As for books they can sit around for months too waiting for me to read them - some even gather dust on the book shelves lol

I belong to netflix and i tend to watch my movies the day that they come in. When I get more than one movie at a time, I will only watch one per day, but I send them back the day after I watch them. I belong to the three at a time plan and I probably watch about 25-30 movies a month. Sometimes, if my son is at my mom's for the weekend, we will watch 3 in one day, but that is because we will plan for it and have them send 3 horror flicks at one time. :)

I hardly watch TV to begin with...but my usual habit is to watch a little bit of my movies every night before I go to bed...However, when I have just gotten a movie, it's one of the first and few times I'll zap in the movie and watch right away and all the way through...and heaven help the person that decides to call me then..I ignore the phone...LOL

No I make the same like you.I bought one movie maybe three motnhs ago and I still didn't see it.And it is not becuase I don't have time, becuase I have plenty of time, just don't find a mood to watch it or just find something more interesting to do like watch something.And actually I alrady also forget about that movie and you just reminded me.lol.So thank you for this discussion, I think I am gonna watch it soon.

i dont have the patience to wait so long..as soon as i get home i watch the movie...if i get 2 or 3 even ten i watch all in a stretch..only if i finish wit all can i rest....i just cant imagine how u keep them 4 months....
