Well...you have lost your trust. You are cheated, hurted, all your feelings, senses have been betrayed. How much time you need because to give your trust to other person? And what motivates you to do it or discourage you most?

I'm willing to mete out trust but in limited quantities and over a period of time. Due to hurt, betrayal, etc, I've got to do it like this. Plus after being through some nasty stuff and seeing some barbarous acts done to male friends and family I'd be a fool not to keep my wits about me and keep trust as a rare valuable commodity in relationships. Time is the best motivator for me. Trust has to be earned over time. Instant trust doesn't work for me, I'm sure this shouldn't be too foreign for some to understand.

Well, it all depends upon what the betrayal was and how you feel about the person who has betrayed you. Sometimes it is very quick to forgive but you never forget. Sometimes it takes a great deal of time depending on how great the hurt was from the betrayal. There are times that forgiveness is impossible for some people. It all depends on you and your heart. It is not the same for everyone.
