that holiday the next year? My first husband died at Christmas time and even after 25 years Christmas is always difficult for me... It has gotten somewhat better over the years but I still get anxious when it nears Christmas time... I make the best of it for everyone around me, but inside I just want it to be over.... Has anyone else ever gone through this...

yes my friend,i go thrugh this every year,my father passed away 4 years ago and it was the saddest part of my life and when the holidays are near i do get very upset but i know my dad would want me to be happy and enjoy it as much as i can with the rest of the family and my kids.so i do make the best of it and it kills me inside though.but i dont want to take away the joy for the kids so i just have to be the jolliest person for them, but man inside i am hurting.hugs to you hon.pattie

I have to agree that there are hard moments, so you cant celebrate nothing, there are moments in life ....

The biggest holiday of my life was when I cleared my +2 amd was waiting for nothing else other than the results to come up. It as around the period my grandfather passed away.I still crerish the memories that I used to play chess with him, he used to tell me stores regarding his life and experience. That used to be my best holiday when I visited his house. Since then the holidays feel incomplete.I try hard to forget it but these memories keep coming back.
