My mom has been converted into an Italian lady. Here's the joke. She Jamacian!!! She has worked with these Italian ladies for 25 years. 3 named Maria, 1 Jacounda, and 1 Lou. Have you ever heard a Jamaican lady speak broken Italian english? You really have to stop and look to see who is speaking. I don't even know my own mother when she is on the phone. Especially on Easter. It's worse when they come over or we go over there. I just sit in amazement with Maria's cats and a bowl of treats that Maria and her husband demand I eat (or else they go into I remember when you were young conversation) and watch as these two families from different countries hit it off with complete understanding.
