Chain Emails

Just recieved a chain email from my sister in law. It's picture of the Virgin Mary and there is a paragraph underneath it. It says some guy didn't foward the picture and his son died. Another guy didn't foward it and he lost his job and his family. It then goes on to say that if I don't foward the photo to 20 people, something bad will happen(not in those exact words but something along those lines). I am so mad at her right now. I'm gonna call her and ask why she would send me that. I don't belive in bad luck and I don't believe in those chain emails. The only reason I opened the email was because it said Re: Photo in the title. I thought she was sending me the picture of my son that she took when we were at Monkey Joe's last week. When I used to get those chain letters in the mail, I would throw them away and nothing bad ever happened to me. I am talking like 20 years ago and nothing happened to me bad since throwing them away. I can't believe she would believe in that stuff.

i HATE chain emails, i wish i never recieved them. And also those chain text messages asking you to forward to atleast 10 people. I always ignore them or just send it back to the one who gave me. Stuff like that only scares you. I'm not a chain letter fan and I'm still alive, i guess those really never works or its just only coincidental. My motto is : "if its your time, its your time". no chain letter would harm you anyhow.

i agree, no chain letter is going to dictate what happens in your life if you don't do what it says. If anything bad happens it's purely coincidental.

hi seabeauty! i always get that kind of chain emails! i know a chain email just by looking at its heading or by the main picture, i would get suspicious and i'd scroll down immediately and when i see those instructions and warnings, like send this to blah blah people or your blah blah will die, i would immediately delete the email. i also can't believe how there are people that believes in those kind of emails. its clearly a bogus! how can someone die just because you didn't forward an email to a specified number of people? the one who created it is really a good for nothing person. and to think they are using God's name! how stupid is that. not only in emails, there are also that kind of chain messages in sms messaging. at times i would ask the sender if he or she believes in it or not. i guess they took that hint that i was annoyed with it so they stopped sending me sms like it. i remember there was a spoof sms message for these forward-this-to-other-people-or-someone-will-die chain messages. it goes like, "don't you just hate chain sms? they'd wish you good luck but threatens you with bad luck. so don't be a victim, send this to a million of your friends or else, your butt hole will close". i just couldn't stop laughing when a friend forwarded me that.

i remember years ago when I was like 19 or 20 i used to get the ones in the regular mail. the letter told me to make like 20 copies and send them out to the people they specified on this list they gave me and warned me not to break the chain or else. i believed it at that time and i would cry about it. i was told to just throw the letter away and i did but i was so emotionally disturbed by it that i worried every day that something bad would happen. now i just laugh at them. i have come a long way.

I just hate those chain emails that use images of Jesus Christ or the Virgin Mary... they are like demanding to be or sent to a lot of people which is so bad... This is the reason why i don't open such emaila anymore... i like the pictures but i don't want to be threatened in any way if i don't send them to anyone... I always wonder who started those kind of chain email...

I'm tired of those too, especially the ones that say that if you love Jesus forward it on if not delete it. I ignore those now because Jesus knows who loves Him and who doesn't. I think your sister-in-law may send them on not necessarily that she believes that stuff but because she is AFRAID that it just COULD be true. That indecisiveness likr when you send on an email because it says that you will have good luck and you're gullible enough to think that THIS one may be THE one? :-)

yeah chain messages are really stupid, and annoying. Anyway I don't really believe in the tailed curse of the chain message like something will bad will happen to you, some stuff like that. I don't believe in that because I know God is with me and with us all and he will not let those things to happen. I really find those curse as a devil's word. Every time I received some chain messages with a curse in the end I really do delete it and pray and then I will send a prayer to the person who send me that chain message.

I have a cousin that did the same stuff. The other thing that she did when she forwarded it was add everyone in her email address book to the forwarding making it possible for everyone that ever gets that forward to have my email address. I don't like that. I like to decide who has my email address and who doesn't. I asked her to quit several times and she wouldn't. I also asked her to use BCC and she wouldn't. The final straw was a couple months ago when she sent me a forward about partial birth abortions complete with EXTREMELY graphic pics. I sent her an email and let her have it. I blocked her and changed my email account. I don't know why ppl have to send crap like that out...all it does is offend ppl. !!HAPPY EASTER!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~
