I have to say I feel like that very often.i am not saying I don't drink alcohol at all, but it is very rarely.Like 5 times a year, just for some celebration. So if I would go somewhere for the visits, everybody would force me to drink or telling me unpolite i am being if I am not gonna drink. And what really makes me mad if somebody would force me and know I am gona drive home. So now I am asking why people think you have to drink alcohol, or something is wrong with you.Why they force you to have at least one drink?is it so hard to tolerate each other? Does anybody feel the same?

A long time ago people were really rude about the fact that I didn't drink, but over the years it has gotten so that more and more other people don't drink either. No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Just think of all the money you save and what can be wrong with wanting to have good health and all of your faculties? I say good for you, and trust me, it is not impolite to decline a drink. Rather it is impolite to try to force a drink on someone who doesn't want one.

I don't drink at all and I believe that those people that insiste that you have one are the ones that are being impolite. They may know that they are drinking too much and you make them feel guilty. But stay strong and don't give in to thoses people.

I don't drink at all. I am not rude, but all of my friends know not to pressure me into drinking. I used to drink all of the time, and I found that this is not for me now. I am not a good person when I drink. Better not to. If you don't want to drink, it is they who are rude to force you into something that you don't want to do. You are trying to be responsible and know yourself, so why can't they accept that? There is nothing wrong with you! Stand your ground and tell them if they continue to force you to drink at get togethers you just won't come, because you feel uncomfortable. Maybe they don't realize how you feel about it. Worth a shot.

No there is nothing wrong with you. There is something wrong with them actually, for not respecting you. I drink occassionally and when I say I wont drink, I stick with it. Do not tolerate these people. Once you tolerate them, you wont be able to escape the next time around.

No there is nothing wrong with you I dont drink alchol either.I cant stand to be around people who do. You cant really have a conversation with them because they are not thinking straight. I dont think you need to drink to have a good time.

I dont ever drink. I have never rally understood the lure so it really isnt a temptaion for me. I have good friends that drink but they are pretty good at respecting my wishes. It wasnt as easy at first when they were drinking and thinking I should have one too. Now they dont even ask because they already know the answer. If I am rude for doing what I feel is the right think for me so be it.

I have exactly the same problem. I drink only at important events such as weddings, New Year's Eve or parties and then just a glass of tonic gin or champain. I just can't drink more than that and I guess there are people who don't understand that. What can I say? There are different people in this world and as others don't understand how I can't drink at all, I don't understand people who drink too much... I guess it's just a matter of perspective...

Do not give in to peer pressure. If that were me I would not drink at all. I don't know why they would want you to drink. I rather pour it down the drain than drink it. A little bit won't hurt but a lot will.
