Do you use an opinion site when you are making a decision on what to buy?

When I am making a purchace that is more than like %50 or more I try to check sites that other people have rated similar items to learn from other peoples mistakes. The one I use the most is epioions.com. I check there before buying, but they also find the cheapest place to buy that item online.
Does anyone else use a comparison web site to help make decisions?

I don't use opinion sites before I buy, I just look around the net to try and find people's opinions on the item. That, and I make sure I look on sites like amazon that allow people to rate and give a review of the item so I can see what other people think. If it seems like people really enjoy the product overall, I'll take a shot and see what happens.

Yes I amm starting it to check it too.Neucase I wanted purchase something for my hair and then find revievws how terrible the things is and it was only wasting money. So I am glad now I didn't buy it and looking for soemthing else.So from now on always if I want something new I would look for some opinions, like buy something and then have a problems to return it back or just waste my money.

There have been a few times I have bought something and it wasnt what I had hoped it would be. Later I find reviews that could have saved me the money. I guess it serves me right for not doing the research before hand.
