What If You Rating Was Zero?

Has anyone ever thought about what would happen if someone's rating was down to zero? I have only seen as low as two. The person with zero would have to not be liked much at all. To me, that would be kind of shameful.

I doubt if rating can go down to zero. I think, I have also observed that '2' is the least rating. I am not much concerned about rating...I wish that my friends here should continue to participate in my discussions and vice versa.

I am not very concerned about it either. It popped into my head and I thought, that would be an interesting topic. I kind of wanting to know if anyone had ever seen lower than a two. But you know, a lot of times the ratings are amazing accurate.

It's probably also because they are very controversial and make comments in all those arguementative discussions that a lot of us avoid and maybe get rated negatively just because they added teir 2 cents worth. I really think they should get rid of the rating system - it really doesn't benefit any of us and its being totally abused.

I do not see much point in it myself. But, you can't help but notice them and are tempted to judge someone by them. Everyone is not the same. I pride myself on going against the grain. I have to speak the truth. It is a part of being true to my myself. A wise man once said, All that is needed for evil to prevail is that good men do nothing. I don't say this very often, but I believe that God put me on Mylot to minister and spread the gospel to people all over the world. He gave me a certain boldness, that some view as arrogance. I have to speak the truth and I do not care what others think. I have learned that as long as God is please, everything in my life works out just fine. I am far from perfect, I do not try to conceal that fact. But, I have a heart that truly wants to please God and that is most important. The Bible says that men look on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart. So, with the ratings people will say, Oh well, she's an eight, she must be a trouble maker. While God is saying, that's my daughter and she's not compromising to please anyone. "To thine own self be true." I love you my friend.

I hope that doesn't happen to anyone... it is like that person hasn't posted anything good... we should all respect each other even if we have different opinions... I think is a certain member reaches that rating... the mylot admin should do something to remind that member about the quality of post that he is doing...

The only time I give someone a minus is when I feel that they are purposely being rude to me. There are some of them who do that quite often. If it is too bad, I will not hesitate to report them. I think that everyone is entitled to their own opinion also. I love to debate, but debating should not be personal. One needs to stick to the topic at hand.

I don't know if I would even want to be on a site with people that disliked me that much. It would be kinda embarrassing, you know? I know I look at ratings, just out of habit, and I've wondered why some people have such low ratings. Sometimes it's obvious though. If I had something to say, I would probably tough it out though.

I think having a rating of zero does not necessarily mean that you are not liked at all. and it would not certainly be shameful. having a rating of zero would certainly mean that you are not rated yet. but when your rating went up as high as an 8 then it went down to a 2, that would mean that a lot of number of mylot citizens or your discussions or your responses are rated as a negative. how many of your responses would be rated as a negative for it to go down to a 2 when it was as high as an 8. as I understand your ratings depend upon the individuals who would rate your responses or discussions as positive. then if that is the case if you do not have a rating yet then nobody rated you positive yet. but of course no one would certainly want their rating to be down a zero.
