Are you currently experiencing a water drought ?Are you conserving water?

Hi magnet... I'm in North Carolina and yes we're having a water shortage and have to conserve water. Mandatory restrictions are going up everywhere however we're suppose to get some rain in the next day or so. Everything is so bare and dry here. The grass is so hard and crunches when walked on. The leaves are falling off the trees sooner than usual.

here in australia (melbourne) we have 3a restrictions on water up in other states they are up to 6 so water is very valuable to us at this moment. I do my best only wash when I have full load, take shorter shower or have a bath as a family (put our bathing suit on and get in the tub the 3 of us) we have a rain tank to water the garden, I use a broom to clean the cement not water. we wash the car less often (it is going to be mess next day anyway).

The thought of water shortage would really make me start hyperventilating. It's just pretty scary for someone like me who takes water for granted and it makes one realize that water is also a very limited resource that should be used wisely. I am just glad that we don't have water shortage now and I hope we wont be having such problems in the future.

We are expecting some rain today and later on in the week - our county hasn't issued a warning to conserve water just yet but I know our neighboring counties have. Lets hope when it falls today that it really does - its very dry around where I live.

Yes, there is certainly a drought here in California. I hope that it will rain very soon. we also need the rain to put out all of these fires burning out here and clear the air.
