How long can you see your new discussions on the list?

I have posted a new discussion and for a while I went to check how far away was it at the new discussions list. I was not able to find it in the first 5 pages. Have any of you noticed how long your discussions stay on the new discussions list?

your discussions only on the front lines is when someone responds to it I have found that they get gone reall fast if no one responds to them.

Discussions are moved up to the top of the list when someone responds to it. So all the tons of discussions out there are bouncing aroung the list as people respond to them. One thing you can do to keep yours up on the list is comment on the responses on your own discussions. If you respond back to those who have left comments, you are likely to stay higher on the list, thus having more people respond to your discussion.

I don't expect my new discussion to stay in the first page of the new discussion list because there are so many mylot members... and the new members would actually start a lot of discussions... so i would see mine for 10 minutes then it would disappear... it is very difficult to search what page it is after like 1 hour...

Hello Perry2007, Honestly speaking, I never check the rank of my discussions. I seldom post a new discussion and whenever I respond, I just respond right from my e-mail. I don't really have time to check my BR, top discussions and so on. My interest here is just to respond *laughs* Maybe my discussion never happen to be on the first page? *laughs*

If your discussion doesn't get a response, it gets posted under Discussions with no responses.I don't know how long it is there but that's where they go.

A lot depends on how many other new discussions get posted after yours. Some times the site is slow and your discussion will remain there for a while, other times when the joint is jumping, then the pages refresh really quickly.
