I'm home and I finally slowed down enough to tell you all about my trip

My sister's veggies some we canned and some we fro - My sister has the greenist thumb I have even seen. She can grow anything. Her garden is almost an acre in size and this is some of her bounty that we canned and froze. We gleened her garden before the froze got the last of her tomatoes.

I went to Idaho to visit my twin sister. We then drove to Seattle Washington to see our older sister for a few days. While in Seattle we got to see our dad and my twin’s son. I have not see my nephew in years. He is working at a Shucks auto parts store as an assistant manager and is 23. We had such a great time with him. The time with my dad was not so great but oh well you cannot win them all. Then back to Idaho to clean out my twin sister's garden and can the veggies that was left over. I have never canned so much veggie in my life. We canned cream of tomato soup, Snappy Tom tomato juice, tomato ketchup, and we canned plums, and prunes, we also dilled veggies from her garden. That took us four days to do all the canning. We also worked the Boise farmers market twice, which took us all day. It had all home grown or home made items. I loved walking through the market and talking to some of the venders. I learned a lot about some of their trade. Then we took off to so she can take me home. We stopped off for a night in Reno so visit my son. We stay at one of the casinos. I put a dollar in a keno machine while having a drink at a bar and picked my families birthdays and won $45 dollars. I then walked away. I had not even finished my glass of wine. The time with my son and his girlfriend was great. We saw them before then went to work for dinner and in the morning after work the next morning. Then when my sister was here we spent two days with my daughter one day my daughter came down to see us and, we went to see my daughter and my twin got to meet my daughter’s husband and his family. We also cleaned out my garage and got my teapot collection down from the loft. My then left and drove back to Idaho it is a 12-hour drive, which she did on her own. I am so proud of her she is not afraid to do it on her own.

Hi teapotmommommerced, Welcome home! It sounds like you've had a great trip, and it's always wonderful to be able to catch up with family, that we don't get to see that often. Did you see a lot of fall colours? I love this time of the year. Take Care.

Yes we saw a lot of fall colors. I think the fall colors would be better now that fall is in full swing. We did see some snow on the passes we went over. I will be posting more photos.

I did have lots of fun with my family. My twin sister took photos of myself with my daughter and her hubby. I look anorexic beside them because of my weight loss. I look funny beside them. By looking at the photos I can see that my daughter is really happy, and her hubby has lost some weight that I have not noticed before. I guess I will have to say something to him the next time I see him.
