I used both of them.In my sense The vista has the + point over its graphics, style, theme, inbuilt theme, wallpaper, hardware driver, and direct x 10, and commonly the lots of system software.Though its requirement is 1 GB physical ram,128MB graphics card,DVD rom etc...but the limitations are not prime. In low configure pc can load vista. In the case of XP,It is properly user friendly. And its has no such requirement. The main fact is in this earth that the maximum software is made for xp.

Windows Vista - Retail box pack of a Windows Vista 32 bit operating system.
You are right to some extent but the fact is that vista is the latest os from microsoft and I think it is the best.As an example when windows xp came out at the market at frist everybody was thinking it will be more hard to use and the requirement of xp was much more than windows 98.windows 98 can run on minimum 16 mb ram where as xp needs minimum 128 mb ram for installation.at that time computer hardwares were expensive but now a days it is becoming cheaper & cheaper for a common people.now any people can bye a vista compatible desktops in India.windows xp is no dought a good os but after it microsoft worked hard and created more advanced windows vista is contains much much more things in compare to xp.any software that has made for xp will be made for vista also but it will take some time.but it will. And one thing now a days as computer hardwares are becoming very cheaper then why do youwant to use low configuration pc.please upgrade it.

upgrade pc is another thing because there is question of finance.Lets consider a pc user who use his pc very first for some business purpose. He never want to expend time for learning or fully understanding the new upgraded OS leaving his earning time but, for experiences to know they played enough with vista. & In another hand the very scope to use the lots of tools of various purposes by which you can do anything with your pc is not available for this new OS.No doubt,You are right about the advanced features of vista but inbuilt system tools is not everything, though You say that those will be made and its absolutely right. But till that time for a first "pc user" vista is not acceptable in that sense...
