I grew up with three brothers. Since I am an only girl, i grew up not playing dolls but instead playing with my brothers. I would play what they loved to play. I would climb walls with them and played badminton with them, thus, all i can say we all are better badminton players (hahaha). One of my fondest memories was actually climbing our neighbours wall and jump off from there which is like 10 feet. How about you?

I don't have much, since I am more into making friends outside the house. The only time I remember was playing kiddie card games with them, as I have a sister which is the youngest of us three. My brother would play on rice fields while stomping on hays and searching for spiders (LoL), while I choose to play on physically-related activities like basketball along with my friends.

One question? How many years are you older than your younger siblings? It seems that you're years older than them, and that you have already gone into a phase where you are more inclined to hanging out with friends. :)

We're years apart, actually. But they prefer to be close with each other, as my brother was like more into "girlie things" back then. For me, I'm more into exploring the outside world than stay more in our house.

I can remember times when my sister and I would get punished and we would have to sit on the steps for our punishment. The only time we ever got along was when we were punished to the steps. We would have to go get our pajamas on. We would put on robes which had pockets in them and we would stuff a bunch of little pieces of paper and a pencil. And we would toss notes back and forth to each other. lol

I think we pretty much have the same experience... was not into dolls too.. i grew being an only girl for like 15 years... i have 3 brothers who came after me and our neighbors then didn't had only boys our age... although our boy friends had sisters, they were like 7-10 years older than i was, so we couldn't really relate in playing. So grew up playing pretty much of the boy's stuff like climbing walls and mango trees... i would even play "holen" (marbles) and "tumbang preso", "syatong" etc.. (i don't how do you call these games in english) .. it was fun... if i have to go back, i think like that over dolls... i have a younger sister now and one day i bought her a nice doll and she told me its "boring" daw LOL :-) she likes outdoor games like the ones i enjoyed wen i was a kid...

Hey I can relate to your experience. That's cool. Yes, i played those games too with my brothers, and our set of friends then were mostly boys, and the girls were like tomboyish of sort. It was fun really growing up with them. As with the dolls, I had my first barbie doll when i was 8 but i found playing with them boring. Hahaha. I wish if we have free time to play with those kind of games. :) Thanks for sharing.

I have so many memories with my brother that it is hard for me to pick my favorites. We are three years apart, and we spent a lot of time together while he was in high school. I would go out with him and his friends and we would always have a great time. We threw New Years parties and had other get togethers that I will never forget. I think the best times that we have spent toghether, though, have been (if you can believe it) in front of the television. We both get a kick out of how the other one makes fun of things we see on TV, so it was always entertaining for us to sit and chat while some mindless program was on for us to critisize :-) It's an odd memory, but I know we both still enjoy it when we have the chance to do those things again.

This pictures out the kind of relationship you have, and communication/ interaction is one of the components. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you get to spend more time again with your brother. :)
