You have to stand in a large, dark room and you know that.....

Where would you be standing? - woman in a room

someone is in there somewhere but they can't be seen. You know they are going to kill you in some gruesome manner! There is only a chair and a table and ONE WINDOW. The room has 4 long walls and a large doorway in each wall. There is only an oil lamp on one of the walls and the light shining in through the window from the full moon. All you have for a weapon is a very large, sharp, pointed sword. Personally, I would be standing against the wall in front of the window (if I absolutely HAD to be there)... Where would you be standing in the room? (no I haven't "lost it"...just watching too many horror movies today...lol)

I would look at the table. See the table. Then I would see what I saw. I'd then take the saw. I'd saw the table in half. Two halfs make a w(hole). Take the hole and place it on the floor. Then I'd crawl through the hole to freedom. HAHAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I would be standing at the window, ctry, trying my best to get out of it! I would not trust using any of the doorways, too many unknowns there. The window is the only option. I have always thought that if I were in such a situation I would rather be outside than inside. After all, there is plenty of room to run once you get out.

Yes, there is always room but if it's in some dark wooded area with nothing around but trees and...oh well you get the picture...lol...

Out the window and up a tree as fast as my little legs would take me...then, I could look down upon my prey..haha. This is too much fun.

Oh. I wouldn't be in the room. Period. Because frankly, I don't like the dark. Not because someone was going to kill me. and if I had to be in the room? I'd be standing by the door. Because you didn't say they were locked. I would be standing by the door that way I could run out. I'd slam the door and pull the bookcase over in front of it. and the grand piano. push the table up against it. run out of that room....and get out of the house...get in my car and leave.

Ha ha. Well you didn't say what else there was...just that specific room. So In my head I visualized (as I watch lots of horror myself) a house..and when you walked out of the room it was in a room filled with that furniture. I think I was seeing the house in Scream 3. and I assumed that I had been stupidly lured there in my car so of course my car was still waiting outside with my keys inside! plus, a while back I'd started a discussion asking whether you thought you'd survive if your life turned into a horror movie... and of course my answer was that I would :p

I would place the chair on the table in such a way that it slowly will slide off the table. I would then quietly move to the least illuminated spot in the room, lay down with sword in hand, wait for the chair to fall, and wait for the assailant's response. Hopefully I would be able to get to her/him before they notice it was a decoy and give them a new meaning to the term "thinly sliced meat". Of course if I encounter them before decoy is set up or activated, I'd still deliver the same lesson. And of course afterwards, I'd go out and have a ham sandwich. (lol)

Well I think that I am taking the chair and breaking the window out and leaving the room, if the window is up high well I guess I will break my leg but I wont be in that room anymore.

Geez...I'm glad I didn't stumble across this one late at night! I'd be keeping my back to the wall for starters. Then I'd try to reflet light off the sword to blind the guy while I felt for the nearest door....THEN I'd run like crazy...and not in circles or into a dark creepy looking house.

Most definitely hide myself in the darkest corner of the room, maybe use the chair as a shield LOL and put up my sword ready to fight for my life - yeah thats what I would do in my dreams lol

HEHEHE I have been watching too many horror movies and reading too many books too. I was waiting for my son at a birthday party so I decided to go over to the beach and read a book. It was pouring rain but it was private. I was sitting there reading a scary book and I got scared out of my mind. The wind and rain pounding the car. The tall grass swaying kept me thinking someone was coming. If I yelled noone would hear me. I had nowhere I could run to hide. If I was in the situation you described I would probably keep moving around, try to stay away from the light and hope to get to a door and always have the knife ready to swing.

I think I'll break the window with my sword and jump outside and run like hell ha ha ha ha ha ha...If the room's located too high from the ground, I think I'd do the same thing as you did, though. ;-D

Im with you. I would stand next to the window or up against the wall period. I wouldnt move at all. I would wait for the killer to move. I hate that people in horror films never turn the lights on. They dont even try.
