It was a long time coming, what did you think? Were you impressed? Disappointed? Did you like it? Was it worth the wait? What are your thoughts about this movie?

I thought it was pretty funny. Well what I managed to stay awake for. LOL!! I know that sounds bad but we had already seen a movie earlier in the day. And then we went to this one at midnight and I was tired to begin with. The Simpsons have been going strong since the 80's so I wouldn't of expected it to be any different. I enjoyed it and it amazes me how they have kept it going for so long.

I didn't see it. Mainly because the writing on the actual show has really went downhill. In the past couple of years, political points are awkwardly but very blatantly made and I think she show lost some of its magic. In the first 7 seasons, it was clearly a parody about being a middle class American family and it just seemed that the writer's ran out of ideas. Also, people are used to watching Family Guy also now where the jokes sort of keep coming very quickly. And the Simpsons just seems like yesterday's news. At least before one cared about the characters... there is really no new turf left unless the writers decide to let the kids get older. Just like the writers of South Park let the kids graduate to the next grade level even though it took them a couple years to do it, because just moving up a grade gave lots of new storylines/scenarios when they first made the move. I hope that perhaps the lack of inspiration in the last few seasons of the show was because the writers were putting all their energy into the movie. I will probably watch it when it comes to cable or DVD, but I haven't read a review that motivates me to see it at the theater.

I saw it on a dvd(copy) thought it was ok but not impressive. too much hype and spiderpig bullsh*t but many of the main characters were left out of a poor diluted and wandering plot which was far too predictable.

I have loved the Simpsons ever since they debuted on The Tracy Ullman show many moons ago. I saw the movie recently and laughed so hard. I couldn't believe they showed Barts privates. I also loved Arnolds line, "I was elected to lead not read!" Too funny. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I really liked the Simpson's movie. I thought it was really well done and I got exactly what I expected to get. I laughed through a lot of it which is all I wanted to do.
