While traveling down highway 84 into Idaho from Oregon my twin sister and I where on Deadmans pass. There was back up of traffic because of a wreck so we had time to take photos. We were sitting on the top of the pass looking down into Boise who was in the sun and we where under the black clouds. I decided to take to take the photos.

OOOOh, I do not like that one bit. It looks very frightening, cold, and lonely out there. Thank God you were not by yourself. It is a very nice shot though. Hey stranger, I haven't heard from you or that bratty dog in a while. How have you and your family been doing?

You scared me, when I first read it, I thought that he had ran far away. I have become somehow attached to that little brat and it would really hurt if something were to happen to him. I am glad you are getting the opportunity to catch up on your rest.

The bratty little dog is fine and I am sure he has forgotten how bad he was. He still does body slammes against the door so he can let himself out of the house. He loves running in the street. I was so afraid he was going to become a Petie pancake.

That is a great photo and I bet you didn't mind sitting there while you were able to take the photos.I can't imagine being involved in a wreck at Deadman's Pass. Do you drive that often? I don't think that I would want to as it seems as though the road must be extremely dangerous.

I no longer can drive. My twin sister was driving and she does it a few times a year. I have done it a few times with my older sister or my twin sister. It is not bad except in the winter when it is snowing.

Hi teapotmommommerced,
That's quite the haunting name for this pass, and kind of creepy. It sounds like something out of a movie. Did you get caught in the storm? Great photo.:)

I like the feel of the photo. I've always been a fan of overcast and cloudy pictures.
How long did the wreck keep you two tied up?

We where in traffic stoped for 45 minutes, and stop and go for two hours more.
