I finally figured out, after over a year, how to use a scroll frame for my bigger cross stitch pictures. Now I've went and got me a wonderful floor stand to use. The picture below is a picture of it and here's the description: For sale is this new handcrafted pine, floor-stand & scrolling frame. You will receive 1 pair of 24" slotted scrolling rods, when attached are spaced 9" apart. This stand is 32" tall and has 3 height adjustments allowing the scroll frame to attach to suit the most comfortable working height. A small attachment is also included, a keeper for needles & small cross stitch scissors. I made one similar to this for my stand a couple years ago. Although simple, it's very handy and I would not be without mine. Note: Scissors and needles pictured are not included. Slotted rods allow you to attach your cloth without tacks or tape, while scrolling allows you to stretch and turn your work up as you stitch. You will also receive instructions for "Assembly" and "How to use a scroll frame" which I have put together to assist you. It was just under $30.00 for it and I think I am going to love it. It should be here any day. I am so excited about it. What was your most exciting toy that you've gotten recently? Do you still use it or is it collecting dust in the corner? !!HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

..I always thought if I had an easel I would paint.. - I did some studying and a couple of simple paintings once thirty years ago, but then never did anymore.. maybe I'll pick it up again someday..

When I did counted Cross-stitch..I loved the frame...my hands did not ache or get tired after a few minutes. Projects got done much faster. Enjoy..I am glad you bought a treat for yourself.

Ooh it's gorgeous and makes me want to start cross sticthing again! I used to be an avid cross stitcher but once I started writing, it's very much been put to one side. I have one project which is a third of the way through - Teresa Wentzler's Castle Sampler. It's gorgeous and difficult and full of mixed threads. Maybe one day I'll get back to it.

How exciting for you!!!! I love counted cross stitch. Your toy looks wonderful. I love the attachment to hold scissors, needles and such. Just under $30 - what a deal. Have a wonderful time with it. I am a little green with envy. My latest toy has been a couple of paper punches that I have purchased from Stampin Up. They have opened up a lot of new options for my scrap booking fun.

I do counted cross stitch too and have a different stand however I'm not fond of. Let me know how you like this one and maybe I'll get one one day. It looks like it would be much easier to use but I'm leery since I don't like the one I have now.

Your floor stand looks basically like mine, except yours seems to be more substantial. Mine is rather rickety, but it's a heck of a lot better than trying to work a large piece without one. I'm sure you'll agree.

What a nice toy. I really like the picture. It looks like it would collapse and store in a small space, too! Happy stitching.

Hi twoet, I also do counted cross stitch. I have not yet found a stand that I was happy with, so please let me know how you like this one and why. It looks good, and it may be more comfortable than the ones I have tried. Please advise on your joy later. It sounds like a steal also. Good luck. I really hope you enjoy your new toy, and get to make lots and lots of counted cross stitch items for yourself and your loved ones. Happy posting..
