When did you stop believing?

Now don't misunderstand, I'm not trying to go into any religious discussion or anything of the like. Its just that I get to thinking about things around this time of year things such as loss of innocence along with the belief that our fairy tales are real, and Santa when was the last time you left cookies for him or did you ever? How disappointing was it when you learned the so-called truth of these matters? Why is it that we so easily accept these lies, is it because its those we truly trust that tell them to us? Does the ephemeral wonder of it all outweigh that initial grief of accepting it all to be false? Do you accept it, is there really no magic in the world? What if its only because we no longer believe, perhaps not that whole clap your hands thing but maybe if you believe in something; it is true even if you never see proof. Now wouldn't that be nice.^^
