Good friends helped me in my depression

Two weeks ago, prior to my monthly period, I experienced deep sadness settling over me. It was like a dark mantle that covered the light around me. Everything in my soul felt pitch dark. I tried to fight it off, telling myself that I have no reason to be sad. But as the hours went, the cloud of depression just kept getting thicker. Soon, I found myself crying at almost every minute, wherever I was. It was a truly difficult time, because even while riding the public transport or just walking at the sidewalk, tears would fall and there's no stopping it. At one time, while going around the downtown area, I was crying and obviously not in myself, I found beggars clinging to my arm, not really asking for money, but obviously mocking me. It was the pits. But people prayed for me. They couldn't reason with me because I was highly emotional and wouldn't listen. But they kept praying. And today, I can say that I won over depression not with drugs or anything but with God's grace and people who fervently prayed for me. It was a difficult and an uphill battle, but with friends like that, I won it. So if there is anyone battling with depression, find a group where you can share your struggles and who can pray for you. God bless you all!!!

hi friend... i have my period now and i was really feeling down the dumps, a few days before it arrived... i was really crying buckets of tears and had a sobfest until this morning... and first time in a week, i feel lighter tonight... thank God... that is why i had barely the energy to talk and move while i was at your house earlier this evening... i love listening to the song "Spring of Life" by Hillsongs... it speaks what i feel when i feel a lil depressed. God bless and am glad to hear that you're now ok!

yeah, you sure looked like you could use a lift. i read somewhere about bearing the fruit of the Spirit. and how, if we allow the Spirit to control us, we will see changes in our lives-including our PMS. pray to God about it. nothing is too trivial for Him. bless you my friend! :-)

Hello there. You are not alone. Many girls do suffer from 'depression; before the monthly period. It's called 'PMS' which stands for premenstrual syndrome. Sometimes, I will feel extremely emotional before and during my monthly period. You are very fortunate to have a great bunch of friends to help you overcome that. Maybe you can try to take some chocolates or do some exercise to help relieve the PMS symptoms. I think it really helps. God Bless you. Take care.
