Personally,Final fantasy 8 is the best for me.I love the storyline & the graphics especially the summonings.squall is so cool!!!!!!!!!The gunblades are awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit, gunblades ARE extremely cool (possibly the best weapon in the whole of FF) but my favourite is FFVII. Although, FFX comes in with a close second, but only because FFX was the first FF I ever played.

Yes, that's a excellent sword... But, to be able to slash at a monster AND shoot a bullet into it at the SAME TIME....

Honestly I think that FF7 was the best for me....That was my first RPG, which made me the RPG addict that I am now lol....but besides that, the story was freakin epic and everything about that game was amazing.

FF7 was the first RPG I ever played too and is the reason I love RPGs to this day! lol. I borrowed my cousin's PSOne and game (I have my own now) and I was hooked. Once I got to the final battle with Sephiroth, I got goosebumps from that battle with the whole "One Winged Angel" song playing in the background lol.
At times when I got sick of listening to the same battle music over and over, I got my A-Teens CD and listened to it. Now everytime I listen to that CD, I think about FF7 lmao!

i like all final fantasy game. but my favourite is FFX, Final Fantasy X. nice graphic,nice system and more important is nice and touching storyline.
i even feel wanna cry when Tidus going to leave and disappear in front of Yuna.

Too bad Selphie, Quistis, Irvine and Zell didn't have as much story time as the two main characters (Squall and Rinoa). Seifer was also a main character, but he was quickly forgotten plot-wise, only showing up during certain battles.
Ooh! I wished they shared more about Sorceress Ultimecia and why she wanted to use the Time Compression spell. That'd be so cool! Plus I loved that character because she looked so awesome!

Yeah, all those characters are my favorite! Too bad Quistis, Zell, Selphie, Seifer and Irvine weren't featured as much as Rinoa and Squall though.

Final Fantasy 8 is my favorite so far, although all of them are really good (the one's I've actually played that is). Plus, as a bonus, the character I can relate to most is in it. I'm a lot like Squall, meaning I prefer to keep all my thoughts and emotions bottled up because I don't like involving other people in my affairs. I figure they have enough problems in their own lives, that I prefer them not to have mine as well. I also don't really care what other people are going through either.

i'd have to go with 7 as well. although 10 and 12 come close behind. i really want to be able to play all the other ffs sometime. besides 7, 10 and 12 i've only played 10-2 and 4.

Hmmm... I enjoyed the 8th chapter of that amazing saga, but for me the best one I ever played is "Final Fantasy 7".
I saw the movie too, about FFVII, called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children...you must watch it.
Have you ever played Final Fantasy XI Online...It's very wonderful.
I played it for two years..almost.
Anyway, I choose the 7th chapter...for me is the best.

well, for me its FFVII. I like the story and characters esp. advent children :D, though its very classic and old compared to other Final Fantasy, for me its the best. FFVIII and FFIX are also my favorite,the first one has a very cool character design, just like you said, and a good storyline the same with FFIX.
