I never thought that Myla's ( my officemate and friend) death could be this soon she is still young about my age. I thought lukemia is a disease that we see on tv and only for those who are rich, but reality checked me and its just anybody who could get that kind of disease. She's been having chemo therapy and was released by the hospital for her body would no longer response to treatment. It shocked us all, I never expected it would be so soon. And what shocked me was the news this morning about her death. When I came here in our office, theres this strage feeling, I have noticed all were weak and with puffy eyes. When I came to visit her department I did not saw anyone and when I went to their cr, there I saw them, crying. She was in pain, and we have seen how bravely she fought for her life, how she fought the pain, she was ready to die but was worried about her family, praying that they will be ready when she goes with the Creator. I miss her but it also is an assurance that she will no longer be in pain and can see us now. Farewell Myla, we will all miss you!

very sorry to hear about your colleague. I've had friends telling me that people they know passed away due to leukimia, but I've never personally known anyone who had leukimia. I hope everyone at your office is ok and handling it well, knowing that she's at a much better place. take care and hope all is well.

I am so sorry my heart goes out to her family and co workers. I know what it is like my youngest sister has leukemia. We were very very fortunate though as one of us matched so she was able to have a bone marrow transplant and now she is slowly getting well. God was with us this time for sure. But be happy she isn't in pain any longer . I will say a prayer for her soul and all of you. take care

It is real sad news. I know the pain when someone you love or care left you. My GOD give her soul peace in heaven and please share your pain with her family. Her mom and dad must be missing her very much.

That is so sad. Leukemia is a cancer that usually happens to the young and that is why it hurts so much. I am sorry that she did not respond to treatment, but sometimes even the best treatment cannot help when the cancer takes over. At least she is now out of pain and her troubles are all over.

Life is like that, we all go through this point in our lives and its just a sad story but we all have to face it with ready hearts. I am confident that she is now together with our Lord up in heaven and that she is no longer feeling the pain that she used to feel here while she was alive.

Zelmarq, My heart goes out to you and your co-workers. My boss found out about a month and a half ago that her life partner has bone cancer, and small cell lung carsinoma(sp). they said it was too late for radiation but they would do it just to ease her pain. they just started chemo last week. she has been very sick and weak and can even hold her medicine down. my boss has been going thru a really rough time. she is been out of the office a lot. but i understand. i wouldnt be here at all, but she needs the medical insureance. my heart always feels so bad for people that have to go throught rough times like this. I am knitting her a blanket to show my sympathy. ....you just have to believe that she is at peace now and is in a better place. my heart is with you.

my heart breaks when i read your discussion about the demise of your dear friend Myla. finally, the pain she was feeling is now gone. although this may be shocking on your part or towards her family members, the fact is his BF already shared the love of God to her. i believe she is with our Creator now! let's just reminisce the good things she has done to you and your officemates.

oh sorry to hear that, my sympathy for your friend and for the family. I admire her braveness, though its very painful for her , she face it with great bravery. Thats how life is and we realize that we should spend single minute that we live with a purpose so that when time comes we are ready to live the world that we do good in this world. Bless her and farewell to her.

Yes, its very true my friend. Maybe her purpose on this life is through, and we have something to learn about her and what had happened to her. The Lord is already through with her life and now He has taken her in His arms safely and feeling no pain that she used to feel here while she was alive.

Cancer doesn't care how much money you have, and has no way of knowing how well off their victims are. Leukemia is awful, striking children and adults. I'm so very sorry you are grieving for your friend. I pray she is resting in the Lord's arms.

Thats what is bothering me right now. I plan to visit her and share to her the gospel but I have not made it. But I have asked her ex boyfriend who happens to be a christian and he told me he already shared to myla the gospel, he was just not sure if she really accepted the Lord with a whole heart.
