I experience getting naked before a doctor for a physical exam... but it was a female doctor... i refuse to go to a male doctor because i would certainly feel uncomfortable... even when i was pregnant... i chose a female gynecologist... Although male doctors are somewhat like licensed to see naked women for medical purposes... still... it can be very embarassing... Why don't you wait for a female doctor to be available...

but at the same time don't we need to give more importance to expertise rather than gender?

I did not have that experience. But If its a regular check up, why she needs to be completely Naked? Is it something serious? If so you can wait for a lady doctor. I think that way it will not be that much embassaing.

I have had a male and female doctors when going in for a yearly exam and I've got to tell you, I much prefer a female over a male because a female knows how it feels to be examined and how gentle to be whereas a man does not. Men tend to be a little more rougher than a woman though they don't mean to be. Why can't you find a female doctor?

For physical check up, nope. But during cesarian section I did twice. And not only to doctors but to anyone present in the operating room. I sitll feel ashame until now because i know i don't have the gorgeous body. lol but really, I am not used of others seeing me naked.

I have been naked in front of a doctor, but only female doctors. I would really feel uncomfortable if I had to do it in front of a male doctor; I'd prefer to wait for a female doctor to be available. Maybe you should try waiting for one to be available? If it's just a routine physical check-up and not an emergency, then maybe it can wait a little while longer. At least you and your wife will feel more comfortable with that.
