Hi ruseneca, Security is low in Mozilla Firefox and Opera, but good in IE? You are joking, right? Firefox is far more secure than IE. Probably the most insecure browser among the popular browsers was/is IE 6.0. Firefox was the reason for creation of IE 7 after 5 long years of insecurity with IE 6.0. Mozilla Firefox is far more superior than IE with all those extensions that improves productivity. Opera is also a great browser and it is far more better than IE. Opera is the only browser that passes Acid2 Browser Test. Firefox does a good job than IE, but still is not good enough. Don't even ask about IE on Acid2 Test, as they don't care about standards. The problem was that a good majority of desktop users really do not understand or do not just care about security which is one of the reasons why number of IE users was high. Also, it came bundled with MS Windows. Now, people are slowly realizing the security issues after getting their machines infected with spyware/adware/trojan/viruses and having seen too many popups and are looking to better alternatives like Firefox and Opera. Their market share is now actually increasing. Login

Those are just IE shells. Avant and Maxthon I mean. Not real browsers. And just adding on IE makes some features but since its based on IE security holes are still possible. But whatever makes people happy. Be careful with those browsers if you use them. Disable Active X too unless you absolutely need it. Personally I just don't get how some people thing Firefox and Opera are bad or are hard to use. They are EZ. I might try Maxathon 2 though. And for fun how other computer users rate the browsers http://forums.cnet.com/5208-7813_102-0.html?forumID=14&threadID=107316&start=0 http://www.download.com/5416-2007_4-0.html?assetID=9763755&orderBy=creationDate+desc So basically no matter what you ask, you'll just get a bunch of different opinions.

Firefox 2 beats IE 6 in all departments (including security). The biggest advantage of using firefox are the extensions which provide so much extra to your browser. Lets see whether the new IE7 can come anywhere close to firefox!

I use Mozzila Firefox simply because it is the best browser out there. It has perfect secrurity if you know how to manage everything. I hate Internet Explorer because it is too much problematic. I usually get my Windows completly stucked when I try to use Internet Explorer and that is why I don't use it and never will. AT ALL!

I really don't care with the speed of the browser, it doesn't make a big problem. And I think everyone really really didn't feel the difference. I like the display of opera, and it doesn't use a big resource. Cool soft software looking. Firefox and IE usually hang if I open a lot tabs, but opera doesn't/

I use all of them! But Opera is in my top list! I use Opera 90% most of the time because it's the fastest one. I use to love Firefox, but it became useless now... because my computer can't keep up with this resources-hog! If they could fix the serious "memory-leak" problem, then I might give Firefox another try. Well, IE7 is not really my favorite but it's a backup for Opera when any website doesn't work properly in Opera.

I'm using Internet Explorer. I tried firefox and feel uncomfortable with it. Mainly because of the security level as what you said is too low.

You are not right. IE security is 5x lower then Firefox. IE have lots of security holes , vunerable to many dangerouse scripts. Many of spy programs and malwares can infect you from IE , but can't do that from Mozilla.
