When will some of our politicians learn?

Once again, a group of senators had an immigration bill up for a vote that would have given some illegal immigrants amnesty.
After a lot of voters complained, this bill has also failed.

When will some of these people learn that the American people will NOT stand still for any bill that will grant any form of amnesty to illegal immigrants until the flow of illegal immigrants has been halted.
Until we stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country, the American people are not willing to deal with other immigration issues.
These misguided senators should focus on some of the other problems and leave this issue on a "back burner" until it is time. Right now, we have more important problems than arranging amnesty for criminals

On that proposed bill the only maybe I would consider was if they join the military for a minimum of 2 years and receive a green card upon completion of the minimum enlistment. In no way should they automatically receive citizenship which IMO is what they are trying to achieve.

I also mean to add if they enlisted in the military they must receive an honorable discharge.

But, would we really want illegal immigrants IN our military. In a lot of countries, young boys are being trained as active terrorist. If they make it to the US before age 16 and graduate high school, will they have REALLY changed their beliefs? Would we REALLY want them in sensitive areas: receivng military training, learning military tactics, and privy to our secrets?
A lot of people KEEP forgetting that all illegal immigrants are NOT Hispanic. They come from a lot of different countries. Britain has been having a lot of trouble with both legal an illegal immigrants from Pakistan. We also have a lot of legal and illegal immigrants from Pakistan. Many are great people; but, we do need to be careful who we let into our military.
