Did anyone watch Anderson Coopers special, Planet in Peril?? What do ya'll think? Is what's happening to the Earth from Global Warming or is it all just a natural thing that no one can stop?? I am torn. A lot of the climate change I think is man made. I mean look at the fires in California right now, emitting all that CO2 into the atmoshpere. I am sure that is not good. But on the other hand, maybe that's just the way things are supposed to be, God's way of getting us ready for the end of the world.

I didn't get to see the special, but thanks to online peers, other news websites, blogs and the like I did get a synopsis. I'm on the side of believing its more of a Planet(possibly Solar System) based warming. A lot of research I've been doing on this for years and still do this date. The recent sun cycles show further sunspot flares resulting in increased bursts of radiation/heat. The orbit of Earth is also not completely circular or stable resulting in harsher winters or in a more relevant case harsher hotter temperatures. That's what I mean by the Solar System variables on a glance. For the natural Earth cycles, Ice ages and temperatures themselves are in a near cyclical flow. The Wurm age was the last great Ice Age of Earth, with several (much) smaller ice ages occuring there after at about 200-300 years; the most famous of which was the Medieval warming and subsequent cooldown, also various droughts and instances of cold temperatures were recorded).
I will admit however, man should research and implement cleaner fuels and more conservative/smart growth principles. Not just for CO2 but also for efficiency, safety and reduced impact on the environment. And somethings like the excessive pollution (not just CO2... SO2 and NO2 should be a concern for air and atmosphere quality).

I think we definately are a main cause, plus as God we're supposed to be the Earth's shepards but are doing a poor job of it.
