Peeing everywhere

I am going batty! My cocker spaniel has decided to pee all over the place now. I am gonna have to move him to a dog kennel, if he doesn't stop. He is marking too much territory, and I'm tired of cleaning it up. Do you think getting him neutered will help, as I haven't done that yet. He's a little more than a year old, and it's getting bad. I don't have carpet, thank goodness, just vinyl flooring, but it's a pain, still. Any tricks to stopping it, right away? I'm not used to having boy dogs in my house. I usually get girl, and they seem to be more behaved.

I don't have a dog, but I am however, potty training my daughter and she keeps peeing on the floor. lol.. She is getting better though. Maybe put down some dog pads on the floor and if you think he will poo or pee, then send him to the dog pad.

I have heard that neutering will help, but I also heard that cocker spaniels were hard to train. My sister raises dogs and she crate trains them.If they do it in the floor she will put them in a crate. If they let her know they need to go out she rewards them with a treat.I trained mine by taking her out every hour or so and if she went I gave her a treat.

I would say that neutering him will help..I was thinking maybe he has a urinary tract infection..But if he is marking his territory then probably not..Not sure what else to suggest.
