Are gadgets needs or wants?

Can you consider gadgets as a needs or just wants only?

gadgets can be a need and a want, it depends on the user's respond. but, if we look into our present situation, gadgets are somewhat a want because people want to have the more latest gadgets to be able to be recognize by the society that he/she have that thing. Its a matter of popularity and style of living and of course if you have money you can buy it. On the other hand, it is a need, when you are working especially in a company you have to have a gadget/s that is handy so that you can carry anywhere and work anywhere if its needed. With that it gives a sense of productive and pro-active attitude towards your client or anything that has a relation to you.

If you use it to better your life or to make things easier or more organized, then it is a need.But if it doesn't help you with you work . And it is just for fun, then it is a want.

I think gadgets can be a want of the moment, I think we all have them and many we hardly ever use, some we probably never use, I think they are just a want of the moment.
