Do you vaccinate your child against the flu?

Did you know the flu shot contains (oreo - idea?) and if you're allergic to eggs - definitely avoid them - it contains egg protein but also other toxic substances including ethanol (the same stuff used in cars, mercury, formadeyhde and aluminum. These are used to 'improve the vaccines performance'. Its been linked to autism and other problems. Some researchers even link it to Diabetes Mellatu, autism and even asthma. Autism is on the rise. Ever wonder why? I've never gotten the shot (except during pregnancy) and can't remember the last time I had the flu. The last time I had a cold was in 2005 or 2006 (knock wood) after I got an infiltration (blown vein) when donating blood. My whole arm swelled many times its size and changed colour. I think my immune system was busy with that and I got a slight cold. My husband cared for me and he also got a cold - rare for him as well but I think he was worried. We were on our way to get my child vaccinated. I had vascillated before making an appointment. On the way their my husband shared his concerns - that matched mine and told me that he would prefer we didn't do it. However, he left it up to me. We wound up turning around. So what do you do? For yourself and your children?

I am sure for one thing that autism is present since birth and it has nothing to do with vaccination. Otherwise all the kids would have become autistic. we just miss out symptoms when the baby is born and still a toddler. I have got my kids all the shots and so have all the realtives and friends that I knwo of but none of us have had to face such troubles. You must have to have a genetic pre-disposition for developing autism even if its due to vaccines. Till it can be scientifically proven, I would not spread such rumors around.

I have worked with autistic childre and I am just saying that they still have not found the reason for this. I have seen child as old as six months to be diagnosed as autistic. I have my suspicions that may be parents sometimes fail to notice early symptoms and developmental delays as the milestones differ in children. what triggers it is still not clear and scientific community is divided on this issue so I prefer not to take sides and vaccines does help millions of kids in my country to survive so I will say its better not promote an averse agenda when facts are not clear. I consider myself a layman and I will go by the common opinion rather than spread half proven theories.Sorry if I offend you but you see many kids do need vaccination at least in a country like mine where basic hygine is absent and people are mostly illiterate and we are trying hard to counter common disease like malarai, chickenpox , polio and others. Such info in wrong hands can actually lead to wild rumors and no body will then listen to voice of reason. Thirty years back in my country people refused to use cooking gas as they thought that cooking on gas leads to acidity. Situation has changed not much as far as technology or acceptance of new things is concerned.I am concerned about people as gullible as them.

Autism usually isn't present at birth. It isn't even diagnosed until two or three. Children will regress - they make talk have great motor skills, look people in the eyes - and then all of sudden - it stops. Until you know for sure how autism starts, you can't say that shots don't cause it. I'm not spreading rumours. I'm saying that there are researchers who think this. You can find many scientific articles about it on the web and elsewhere.

Another thing not rumour - is the toxic ingredients. Pure fact, you can ask your doctor.

I dont take the shot myseslf so would never have my kids do whta I wouldnt do. and with all that stuff in it why would anyone take the shot!? RIght nowwe are wondering weather to give the 2nd shot for a 2 year old to grand daughter for wwe have read that the shot can lead to Autisum and we dont want that to happen to her as she is such a sharp little girl . So right now not sure to give it to her or not the first shot never slowed her down a bit but 2nd one might so I am scared to have her get it. no tell ing what is in it in the first place and if it is doing this toother kids I think they need to take it off the market. also we never had these shot and we are doing just fine ! take care!

yeah they do that but they wont let some forms of treatment for cancer to pass in this country even when the are proved over seas that they work! and if the FDA gets it over here they test another 10 years and then still might not approve it for it might just make people well. NExt thing ya know we will have to have a perscription for veggies!

I've never gotten a flu shot and neither have any of the little ones. We won't even have it available here for a few more weeks. I really can't decide what to do. We had such a rough winter last year and this year is already off to a bad start. I'm more likely to not get it for any of them but the decision isn't final yet.

I understand - ours wasn't final until we were halfway there - and we didn't like our pediatrician closeby and go to a neighboring suburb - so... Its a hard choice. I chose to while I was pregnant for him. But now...

I personally have never gotten the flu shot even though my doctor recommends it because I am diabetic. My three children have always gotten a flu shot every year since the oldest one was born. My nine year old doctor was born premature with some heart defects, her specialist recommended that she get the flu shot every year so I have done so. My youngest child has asthma so again it was recommended that he also get the flu shot each year. The middle child gets the flu shot so that he doesn't get his siblings sick. None of my children have had any side effects. Had my children been born without any medical complications then I am doubtful that I would have them given the flu shot each year. All children react different to vaccinations and I some times believe that it isn't always wise to take the risk.

If the youngest and oldest get the flu shot - then why is it necessary for the middle child to get one - "so he doesn't get his siblings sick"? It doesn't make sense since the reason people get the shot is so they're not as likely to catch the flu. Its good parenting that you were cautious due to their health conditions and took steps (like the flu shot) to insure their good health. I do agree that all children react differently to vaccinations and its good to be cautious. Its the preservatives that I worry about, mercury and ethanol and such. Once they've perfected it so these are no longer necessary, I will think differently. I read recently they have an oral dose you can take - maybe the same preservatives aren't in this one. I'll have to investigate further.

Like you I questioned why the middle child needed to have the vaccination as well. It was explained to me that it is more likely that siblings share drinks and sometimes food, which in turn means that siblings are most likely going to catch the bug from one another. My children get the inhaled vaccinations because it is actually suppose to be safer because a live virus isn't used.

I'll look into the inhaled vaccinations. The thing is, I'm not so much worried about the viruses as I wrote in my initial thread, but the preservatives they use that are toxic, mercury, aluminum, ethanol and more.

My son had never gotten a flu shot and he has never gotten the flu. My 9 month old daughter got her first flu shot the other day when she went in for her 9 month checkup. She has to go back next week to get another one. Then next year she only has to get one.

I think if I had gone in with my son the other day - it would have been just one dose - they never mentioned another. Maybe each 'cocktail' is different. :)

I have never got the Flu shot nor have any of my children. My oldest son rgressed, lost all his language and developed Autism starting at 27 months old. None of my other children have been vaccinated nor will they be. The funny thing is that they have never been sick or had an ear infection.

I've never gotten it - except when pregnant - and I rarely even get a cold let alone the flu (knock wood). It doesn't seem funny to me that your kids haven't gotten sick. Did you get the other vaccinations for your kids? I was trying to explain to someone else who was nice enough, like you, to participate in my discussion, that autism doesn't begin at birth, that, like your son, it can start much later and children can lose many of the skills they had gained. Its terrifying. However, there are many high functioning autistic adults, thanks to patient parents and teachers. Have fun mylotting!
